I uploaded a story last night that I thought was "done done", slept on it, and woke up bolt-upright this morning realizing that a couple of opening paragraphs were setting me up for reader feedback disaster.
Okay, fine. It wasn't the end of the world, it would still be "pending" in the morning and I could upload the revised version and it would push me to the back of the queue. No harm done.
Nope. Log on and discover it tagged "new" and scheduled for publishing in two days, albeit still in the "pending" folder, as usual. Uploaded the corrected version anyway.
So... did I screw myself, where the "disaster" version is going up regardless, and the revised version is now at the end of the manual edit replacement queue, like 4-5 weeks away? Do I need to message Laurel?
