The oft plagiarized DCL gave me a thought.

What is your estimate of the Wacko to "normal" ratio out here in the ether.

Lit seems to be one of the saner sites that I have seen even though we get a smattering of sociopaths, shit stirrers and undesirables.

So whats your guess? Feel free to add any humorous or not so funny stories of your encounters with the other side of the fence ....psycho or strait.

First of all, you have to define "normal" vs. "wacko". What you call normal, I may call wacko.

Example - I think people who slog away at jobs just for a paycheck are wacko. Others call that responsible.

Ignoring that, let's assume the shit-stirrers are the wackos, but remember Socrates, Columbus, Christ, and Mandela were all considered to a certain degree "shit-stirrers".

I digress. I'll go with the 90/10 theory, but I would like to know how we accomodate the mulitple personalities. Do they each count or do we prorate a member's wacko quotient? And wouldn't calling Lit "out there in the ether" imply we are all a little wacko?

The 90/10 theory has a lot of merit. When I was an officer in the army I had to spend 90% of my time dealing with 10% of the people in my unit. And that ratio seems to fit across the board.
