Hi. Sorry to disturb, but I've got a bit of a problem.

So while I've published a few stories, I mainly contribute to the "artwork" sections: Adult Comics and Erotic Art. And there's something I've noticed that doesn't work quite well with artwork, even though it works just fine with regular stories: The ratings.

Occasionally a single vote may slip through but most votes just aren't registered. That means there's almost no chance to get a certified "hot" story because it requires a minimum number of votes. But aside from that, I'd also just like to know which of my works are particularly popular.

Maybe it's an easy fix and I would really be thrilled if it could be fixed somehow. In any case, thanks in advance.

It's a bit broken, probably caused by the sweep process (removing false votes) which possibly looks at the amount of time a page is open as part of the vote validation process.

Unfortunately, for artwork, that's going to measured in seconds. Try staying longer on a page - that does work (as tested on my own art pages). Also, not many votes for artwork, anyway, so a score isn't particularly meaningful.

One has stare:eek: at an image for an indeterminate amount of time before a vote sticks?

Well that's a flaw.

Best that I could tell, one had to be participating in "beta testing" for votes to stick...and very few people even know that option is buried in their profile (not here, but there). Though I am not even certain that works.

Beta testing? Possibly true - I shifted to the beta site straight away, so I've been in it for a couple of years now. Votes seem to stick, but the counts are very low.

I reckon that MOST folk don't even know about that hidden button at the bottom of their settings.
