aching
to spill every last thought.

I feel the pain
of his words,
hurt by others
comprehended by few,
worrying
about the ones he loves.

I sense his longing
from those words,
deserted by many
when needing them most,
wanting
someone to take his hand.

I understand his confusion
through his words,
ignored so often
by those afraid to learn,
now feeling
as if we are connected

Never hurts to dream
to look for the light;
pulling you closer
drawn to its beam.

Deep in thought
lost to the world;
cherishing each word
and the image it brought.

Keeping all hope
never giving up;
wishing for a future
where it's easy to cope.

Don't give up on your dreams
life has a way of working out;
the light at the end of the tunnel
may be closer than it seems.

A dark dreary day
clouds rolling by;
shut all the windows
keep the house dry.

A stillness to the air
no sound at all;
even the birds
not making their call.

Wind picking up
coming in fast;
leaves turning over
litter blowing past.

The storm is here
I'm curled in my bed;
but don't you see
the disturbance is in my head.

You tell yourself

don't let the demons
take over this way.

Don't forget your strength
the power of your mind,
focus fully on
all that's good and kind.

Talk your way through it
ask someone you know,
get rid of the anger
letting yourself grow.

Come out the other side
with help from a friend,
keeping your promise
that your life didn't end.

Start another day
demons put to rest,
remind yourself
you did your very best.

Lay back and relax,

Angry black waves
as far as you can see;
their massive strength
overpowering me.

High mighty winds
whipping all around;
their sheer intensity
knocking me down.

Roaring thunder
rolling overhead;
its rippling sound
blocking everything said.

Jagged lightening
electrical in the sky;
its deadly strikes
hitting nearby.

Pounding rain
slicing across the air;
stinging my skin
hurting everywhere.

A wild storm
shattering our peace;
cleansing the earth
giving life a new lease.

Sleepless Night

Screaming at me from everywhere
each one louder than the other
forcing me to listen.

Pushing their way to the front
the noise overwhelming
leaving me no choice but to hear.

Falling over each other in a rush
the sound roaring in my head
making me stop in my tracks.

Scrambling for top attention
reaching highest decibel peak
resigned to its strength.

Fast furious and powerful
hearing nothing else but them
the thoughts eat at me tonight.

Broken Again

Like a knife, cutting through me,
the hurt more than you know;
taking away my confidence,
in its place, back is the uncertainty.

Not easy for me, sharing as I have,
too often I've been bitten;
trusting you was a risk for me,
my self worth needing a boost.

Asking only one thing of you,
not like others wanting it all;
counting on you, on your word even,
again finding myself getting stung.

Please don't break me this way,
my self-esteem can't deal with it again;
can we please try to do this right,
and not have me stabbed once more?​

Totally stressed out in life
Living became very tiring
I know what is missing
I know I have choices

Doing the same old thing over and over again
I lost most of my creation of being human

Communication does not work wonder either
Living corpse is how I see
