Endings always make me cry...even if they are mutual and for the best.

50 lbs of flour would make one hell of a biscuit, how much buttermilk would I need?

Freakin sprained ankle! Yes, it is minor...but really???? My life is already out of whack and you have to give me a minor sprained ankle???

*laughs* Did you really work out the buttermilk?

Okay, yeah, I'm a dork.

There are 3 1/3 cups in a pound of flour. That's 166.5 cups in a 50 lb bag (assuming all flour, regardless of size, comes in a bag).

I confess, I found a bunch of recipes, but used the one from Food Network only because it called for 2 cups of flour and one cup of buttermilk (to make the math easier).

Okay, so we need 83.25 cups of buttermilk. 16 cups = 1 gallon. 5.2 gallons.

:D

And now I'm panicking that someone's gonna call me out on the math. lol

I love it! You are my kind of dork!

I'm going to write down somewhere what you said about cups - as a Brit I've always found that a confusing measure. What, I just get a cup and fill it with stuff? What size, a big mug, a teacup, an espresso cup?!

I suppose you guys have an actual cup measure thing, but I don't think we can get them over here, which makes using US recipes difficult.

Not that I can actually cook...

Yeah, I don't know how many meters there are in a cup. :D
