Random thoughts and ponderings..

I've passed the 500th thread milestone (again) due to losing 24 or so threads when the 'Lucy' goldfinger story was recently deleted. Ironically, the story remains top-rated. And I'm now up to 510 and counting..

Wondering.. how are the author names composed at story beginning. I thought the editor went first, but apparently that isnt the case. Then I thought it went by thread count, but that isnt the case either.

..Are threads that are approved after a year being approved by the author? Seems suspect. Site mods approving these? Anybody else have this happen?

..And the blue lines in the feedback forum? It seems to be the recently approved thread(s).. or is it the recent feedback? always changing..

Oh well, my head's hurting so i'll stop. Is it really any use to find rhyme or reason in chyoodom? We know the answer by now.

Aprroval times

I've only been posting in Chyoo for about 6 months now, so the longest time I've seen between the submission of a thread and the approval of it is about two and half to three months. I had given on ever seening those threads approved. It did seem odd to me that someone would forget about their own story for that long and then suddenly get around to it, but whatever.

As far as the blue lines in feedback go, I think it's when a story is updated...or edited...or ranked. Basically whenever as story seems to be touched by anyone it shows up as blue.

Trying to figure out Chyoo will make your head hurt, that is for certain. I have not noticed any threads being approved and I have a couple of dozen that are sitting in limbo on various abandoned stories. I do wish there was way for an abandoned story to be adopted by someone else to let it continue.

I hardly ever write for any author I have not seen on the boards, or has not recently added to one of my stories. It seems the only way to know for sure they are going to be around to finish the story.

I've just submitted a story, Bat Boy For The Girls' Team. Any bets as to how long we wait for approval?

Except the author re-editing existing threads doesn't count. New threads and feedback/rating will turn a story blue and kick it up in the "Fresh Stories" ranking.

I've noticed the thread approval date seems to change of late whenever something must be added to the rest of the story. Gets a little confusing, since I try to add threads in the order they were last approved.Since some take longer than others, it isnt always in sequence.

I like the title for your new story, Z. Conjures up all kinds of pictures, hehe. Hope it sees the light of day.

Do tell! It might be a little while if you save up your ideas.

Actually I'm thinking one of the early choices of the story will be "What's the name of the team and the team motto?".

Hmm...

Not sure what the tone of the story is, or the type of women's team, but.. The GroundBallers "We go farther than first base!" Maybe DICK'S sporting goods chain could sponsor them, hehe

Hmm...kinda a "Debbie Does Dallas" direction? :)

I had been thinking maybe something like:

Angels "Too good to beat!" -- A hardworking, supportive sisterhood, but a soap opera none the less.

Pioneers "A Heart Like The Heartland" -- Country girls go on tour and go just a little wild. ("How ya gonna keep 'em down on the farm once they've seen Paree")

Wildcats "Fear This!" -- The old bat girl was bounced for cheating with the pitcher's boyfriend (and Jim walks in on their final fight).

Something like that.

All home runs!

All great ideas, just something about the title 'Bat boy FOR the girls' team' and the fact it's for chyoo, led me down the road of raunch (a very well-worn path). Images of one of those college softball teams with the Amazonian beauties featured on ESPN dominant over a more introverted college guy came to mind. Not sure it would have the scope of possibilities as your other scenarios, though.

It's Chyoo, there's plenty of room! (usually the problem is running out of ideas or steam, not room!)

The real problem is whether or not the story will ever get approved!! Here it is almost a month with no update. There must be a huge backlog of stories waiting to be approved. I know I have a couple from January that I still have not seen!

Batboy.

Z.,
the first thing that came to my mind when I heard about your story and the title of it is...

The batboy sounds like the Male mascot for the all girl baseball team. I picture some guy in a big goofy looking uniform with his dick hanging out and all these girls lining up to blow him.

Just my thoughts.

I could imagine "mascot" as part of the job description for poor lovelorn Jim.

Maybe, with a nod to k69, he's the GroundBallers' Groundhog. After one girl has a lucky day, the others ask what she did right before the last game... and baseball (softball?) players are pretty superstitious, the other girls want to cash in by doing the same thing. :)

Good point. In the meantime, I'll try to stir up inspiration for a thread or two.

I think I owe The Neighborhood a visit. :)

Not sure why it's so hard for me to work up to the sex scenes, though. Maybe I'm taking Lisa's "hard-to-get" too seriously...
