Rainia (IC)

Varthes and Tala

Varthes

"I'll second the boar if you have it," Varthes added after the lizardman. He had not been feasting on rats on the trip to Rainia, but boar was always good. "Just water for me though."

He looked down at the gnome woman with a polite smile, "Will you be joining us as well. I figure you might be still trying to get our friend with the talented tongue," he nodded to Glindial, "to preform here." He motioned that she could sit next to him if she so wished.

Tala

"It has been a long time since I had boar," Tala said more to herself than anyone. She was not going to start making dinning requests until she knew what it was the tavern had to offer.

She chuckled at Varthes's comment about a talented tongue, her mind hearing a double entendre even if he had not meant one. Playfully, she leaned close to the elven woman and whispered, "Just how talented is it?" low enough that only she would hear it.

Katt positioned herself between the two males in one of the remaining seats. She didn't speak at first, no, instead she let those large violet eyes take in her surroundings before turning once more to her new companions. The tip of her tongue darted out over her plush lips to briefly moisten them before they parted fully.

"It's good to be in the company of other carnivores," She murmured lightly, almost off-handedly as her attention was diverted towards Tala for a moment. Her scent was curious, something those keen feline senses caught easily. She sniffed the air for a moment or two as she contemplated its source. Meanwhile, her tail (which had a mind of its own) flicked to life, only to slither to the side and coil around the closest ankle, which happened to belong to Varthes.

Varthes

Varthes was quite pleased to have two of the attractive women sitting next to him. One of his eyebrows raised as he felt an odd feeling against one of his ankles, then deduced that it was Katt's tail. He smirked lightly as he let his hand near her drift low under the table so it could lightly stroke the fir of the curious appendage.

Glindiel didn't quite understand what Tala meant, but there was something in the way she said it that made her blush. This woman was intense. Glindiel didn't quite understand it, but she was very interested in her.

"My tongue knows the way into anyone's... heart, and mind, or so I've been told," she softly told Tala.

Turning to Kratash, she resumed her earlier cheerful tone. "Why, I've travelled all around, looking for new experiences. Knowing how to sing is one thing, the trick is knowing your audience - one has to know how to sing, to touch everyone just the way they like it the best."

"Well you sure have learned a great deal from what I can tell, your singing is amazing. Are you by any chance, related to the faes? Your singing was almost otherworldly, very enchanting, and I've heard about fae's and their siren like voices." Kratash stated while putting down his backpack and pulling off the tunic off his chest, he had been meaning to do that all day, very uncomfortable at the moment because it got soaked with water when they flew through a rain cloud on the way. Opening his backpack he hoped to find a spare shirt or tunic to use.

A coy smile drifted out over her lips as she felt the light touch of Varthes. Her violet orbs flickered about the companions at the table before settling upon Varthes.

"I think I like where this conversation is going," She teased in a light tone, arching her back slightly as she leaned further into her chair, the material tightening about her more than ample bosom with the slight movement.

It was hard not to give Katt's breasts a glance as she arched them out. Still, he had enough control to not openly glare. He did give her tail a friendly squeeze though. He continued to stroke her tail surreptitiously under the table as he talked to the rest of the table.

"I've come to this land with the intent of rising in power," he explained openly, "To do that, I need to make allies. I would much rather do so with people who do not already have allegiances to the established powers of the city. People like the rest of you. Join in with me, and I can help you meet your own goals as well."

Tala

Tala giggled a little at Glindiel's response. She leaned in and told her, "That is a very cute blush."

Tala was more than a little surprised at Varthes's rather forward announcement. However, she did respect boldness and her spirit guide had led her hear for a reason. After a moment's thought, "Yes, I am interested."

Laughing out in a mixture of barks and hisses Kratash clapped his hands together before wiping a tear of laughter fro mhis left eye. "Ah it does my heart good to hear such words, I must admit that I have been rather bored lately, I'd love to see what your plan will turn into." The lizardfolk then noticed Katt flaunting her bossom and shook his head clear, he didn't need to get an erection, that would make it very uncomfortable as he never found pants loose enough. "Now how about some of that food? I am starved, in more ways then one." Okay so that was a bit flirty, but you had to give him some credit, he had gone without getting some for two years.

"Allies, hm?" Katt retorted in a curious tone. Her violet eyes turned to rest upon Varthes as he stated his intentions. Her tail tightened ever so lightly, as if to offer a squeeze of its own before she shifted in her chair and reached out to touch his hand that petted the soft, downy furr of her tail.

"I too have come here searching for my future. Though it might not be the same thing you are searching for...power is a great way of obtaining ones own roles. I'm sure there is something we can arrange...for all of us..." She made sure to include the rest with a glance about the table before turning her attention to Varthes. "..That will be mutally benifical..." A grin drifted lazily out over her lips as she finished.

Vathes

Varthes smiled as three of the others gathered around the table expressed interest. He had thought it might take more initial convincing. He felt the pleasant stroke of Katt's hand. In return he gave a firm, but not painful squeeze to her tail. He then turned his attention to the person who had not yet spoken. He smiled, "Come now Glindiel, I am certain you would find plenty to gain by joining with me and the others."

(ooc: I haven't forgotten about you guys, I was just letting your characters get acquainted)

Mira had waited till they were settled in, then since as Varthes has said, the servers were nowhere to be seen, she wrote down the things they had said they wanted, some roast boar, some ale and water, basic really, normally when offered free food and drink people took advantage of it... oh well, their loss, except for the lizardman, she was still annoyed with him, so he would be getting a bill... show him to call her madam.

Once she had stealthily taken her leave, something she was quite good at, she headed for the kitchen, disappearing in to there for a while, then coming out later with one of the absent serving girls, a rather imposing looking half-orc, though she did looked rather chastised and embarrassed, sleeping on the job most likely. Both of them with food and drink in hands.

They came up to the table “Ey guys” Mira drew their attention and set down the drinks as the ork barmaid laid out the food “sorry bout that wait, we're a bit shor'handed ya see” she smiled “but we hope ya enjoy, an its all free” she glared at Kratash for a moment “for most'a ya”

"A free meal is the best meal," Varthes said with a smile to Mira. He took a hardy bite and savored the taste. "The cooks on the ship certainly did not provide such fine fare. Stay and talk Mira. I would like to hear about the power centers of this city. Tell me who the major players are."

Tala

"Oh, thank you," Tala said as the half-orc server set the food down. The woman had a beauty, in a beastial sort of way. She took a sip of her drink and then licked her lips sensually. "I really needed a drink. Let us enjoy this fine meal and get to know each other...better. Glindiel, where do you hail from?"

Katt wasn't one to to say no to a free drink. A mug of what was considered ale was taken and an ample mouthful taken. She savored the taste, if only a moment before swallowing it down with a slight sigh. It was of decent quality at least, it would see her through for a few hours. The roast pig did nothing for her however, she was never one for swine. Her nose wrinkled impishly as she waved down a passing servant and causally murmured:
"Be a dear and bring us something less filthy. Some bread and cheese...maybe some fruit if its still fresh. There's a good girl." She offered a brilliant smile and a dismissing wave before turning her attention back to her new companions.
"Yes. Who are the mover and shakers around here? Where can we get a little...action...hm?"

The half orc waitress gave Mira a look when Katt asked for some fruit, then went off to do as she was told when Mira nodded to her, disappearing in to the kitchen and retuning about a minute later with some bread and cheese, as well as two pieces of local fruit, one looked a bit like a pear, but with skin that looked more like that of a kiwi fruit, the other appeared to be a blood red peach.

“Well kitty, I’m sure some’un like you could get action anywhere ya fancy” she said with a sultry grin on her face “but major players? That’sa bigger question, with a looong answer” she sighed, the act fairly fake to anyone watching “and there aint a chair left, so unless one of ya would be kind enough to share ya seats with a little lass like me, I’m afraid I’ll have ta get back to work”

Varthes

Varthes chuckled at Mira's theatrics. He smirked at her then said, "Well I guess since I am the one that asked then I am the one that should share his seat." Without pause he reached down and lifted the little woman up and placed her on his lap. It was not until after he had done it that, he realized she was sitting on more than just his lap. All of these beautiful women, particularly Katt's teasing, had left him quite hard.

Katt nibbled on what food was offered, taking a hint of cheese and bread, and some of the odd looking fruit. Her feline ears cocked towards the cute little gnome and watched that grin with a knowing look. She returned it in kind, a slight purr rumbling from within her chest. Indeed it wouldn't be hard for Katt to find what she wanted...it seemed much of it was at this very table. Varthes next move even took Katt by surprise, the look wafting quickly over her beautiful visage before a fit of sultry laughter overtook her.

"Oh dear...This just keeps getting better and better;" Katt murmured mostly to herself as she leaned her right elbow on the arm of her chair and placed her chin upon her palm, settling in to listen to Mira and her explanation.

Mira’s face looked surprised for half a second when she was planted down on more that Varthes’s lap, but that quickly faded as she leaned forward on to the table, her tight, leather clad rear end slowly sliding back over him as she did, she wasn’t normally this friendly, especially considering she was mainly interested in Glindiel to sing, but there was just something in the air.

“This city is only the beginning of something much larger, up here on the surface, there’s a ruling council, made up of representatives of the 7 largest and most influential guilds and clans, and it brings peace for all the tourists so the city thrives on the business they bring in, but underground, there’s more levels to this city, each as grand a sight as the one you saw flying in”

She paused for a moment and leaned back on to Varthes’s chest, moving her rump about to find the most comfortable spot “the council is still in charge, but its not quite as peaceful, the further you go down, the less its like a ruling council and the more its like a strained truce stopping this city from collapsing in on itself with civil war”

OOC: I haven’t posted in a while, so I’ll throw in a couple of responses from pretty far back…

"That is a very cute blush."

For once, Glindiel found no response, and her face flushed even deeper red. There was certainly something very, very strange about this woman, but even though she tried her best, Glindiel couldn’t put her finger on it.

She didn’t say anything when Varthes claimed he wanted allies to “help him rise in power”. Glindiel wasn’t one to easily ally herself with a stranger with such a bold claim, at least not until she would find out more about his motives and character. Then again, this group of strangers gathered here was most interesting, and it would certainly be quite fun to tag along, at least for a while. So she didn’t promise her help, but neither did she refuse it.

"Come now Glindiel, I am certain you would find plenty to gain by joining with me and the others."

Glindiel locked eyes with the human. She had to admit he was good-looking, for a human, and he had a determined fire in his eyes. No doubt he was a capable man. Would she help the man “rise in power”? Could she promise him that? Probably not, not yet, when she barely knew him or the others. But she did fancy the idea of starting another adventure.

“I’ll tag along, for a while,” she said with a soft smile. “At the very least, it should be entertaining to stay in this fine company for a little longer”. Glindiel looked at each of the adventurers around the table. Yes, it definitely would be an entertaining group.

Then the food arrived. It was roughly made, and not really Glindiel’s favourite, but she wasn’t one to complain about such matters and therefore ate quietly, laughing merrily at the way Varthes picked up the little gnome.

She did listen intently on her explanation about the city, however. She had been in town for a while, but she had never visited the underground levels.

“Civil war? Who would be the sides in that battle? Criminal gangs and petty warlords, I assume?”

Varthes and Tala

Varthes

Glindiel's blush was cute to Varthes. He was pleased that she was showing interest in joining with him. It would take more time to win her over fully he could see, but that was to be expected.

Varthes found that Mira's squirming around was rather "stimulating" and he hoped that she was not embarrassed by his reaction. She showed no sign so far though. He took a bite of meat as she explained about the city. He mulled it all over in his head and let plans form in his head.

When Mira paused, Varthes offered her some of the food while he spoke, "Chaos provides opportunities for those that take them, but I do not care much for war. Most people don't actually, and are always happy to have someone else keep it from their doorstep. If we can stabilize things by removing one of the biggest destabilizing factors, then that puts us in a strong and popular position. Is there something that could be done to stabilize the lower city Mira?"

Tala

Tala enjoyed Glindiel's blush. Varthes was showing himself to be bold in picking up Mira. Arrogance could be annoying, but confidence was needed to lead. He was glad that Glindiel seemed to be willing to fall in as well.

Tala was enjoying the way things were unfolding. It seemed that the spirits had guided her to more than just people of interest, but people that could affect change in the city. Hopefully for the better.

"We would have to be careful not to escalate things further."

"If we hope to stabalize anything I should hope we find some suitable partons," Katt said off-handedly, watching the gnome squirm in the human's lap curiously. She had no doubt the affect it was having on the male's lower reigons, but it almost seemed the point at least to Katt.

"Of course we could have a look at the other side. Perhaps destabalizing the city is just what it needs." It might not be the most popular of comments, but Katt's mind never worked in popular or straight thinking ways. The energy of chaos was no stranger to her, and life had a strange way of doing things sometimes. "The squeaky wheel doesn't always need grease...sometimes it needs to be ripped out and replace by a new one. But I'm getting ahead of myself." Katt spoke again, this time reaching out and tapping Mira on the shoulder as she offered a wink.
"I'd watch all that wrigglin' shortstack...you might puncture yourself on Varthes' sword if you're not careful."

“Na” Mira answered Glindiel with a lazy shrug “things like thah are jus riots, put down by whichever clan or guild is in power in tha area” she stopped moving around quite as much on Varthes’s lap, having found a nice spot, but she still wiggled from time to time.

When he started talking she listened, but took the offer of food, taking a bite right off his fork when he asked if there was anything they could do to stabilize the lower city, the meat was good, anyone short of a royal would be content with it, but it wasn’t that great, the cook wasn’t really that good.

She nodded to Tala when she chimed in, she was right, poking in to the wrong things was a sure way to get killed, an interesting one though. Katts advice was quite to opposite though, making her raise an eyebrow in curiosity as she leaned over on to the table and closer to her.

“Dun worry, there’s a first aid kit behind the bar, and ya could always kiss it better fo me” she replied to her with a smile and a wiggle of her behind “but ya do have a point Kitty, the only times there’s eva been real stability was when there was a common enemy, though I would na suggest voulenteerin for the role”

Varthes

Varthes

Varthes smiled. He had a plan now. It was just a matter of working out the details. After another bite of meat he started to explain, "We won't be volunteering to be everyone's enemy, instead we will volunteer someone else," he said the last part with a sly grin then continued, "All we need to do is find the right group and provoke them into doing something that puts them at odds with everyone else. From there it is just a mater of becoming the rallying point for the rest of the groups."

Mira's wiggling around was increasingly distracting. He was going to have to relieve himself one way or another after the meal. He looked down to her and asked, "Who do you think would be the best target for this plan?"

"That would be a rather big task," Katt commented to Varthes' comment. Turning everyone’s attention to a common foe sounded good, but would no doubt prove to be a logistical nightmare. "Of course the bigger the risk, the bigger the reward."

Katt leaned in closer, her violet orbs glimmering in the light of the common room. Her lips pursed before drifting out in a wide, Cheshire cat grin. Her hand slid out, fully intending upon finding Mira's wriggling little bottom and giving it a playful pinch. Instead, it slid between the gnome and ranger, unintentionally finding that bulge growing within Varthes' pants. Feline ears perked up in surprise, and she couldn't fight back the "Oh!" that drifted past her lips. "My my...What did I find here? I didn't know your sword was that big. Perhaps we can take on this entire city ourselves. What say you Mira?" Katt teased, her voice dripping with it. Even as she spoke her had wriggled between the two, offering a most pleasant sensation to both in the process.

The look on Miras face hardened slightly when Varthes asked his question, she had been generous with all the information she had shared, but all of a sudden she was wondering just how much more she should really be telling him, so she mocked being lost in thought for a few seconds to avoid the question, but all of that quickly disappeared when Katt joined the little exchange going on between Varthes and herself.

“yeah” she spoke, the word coming out as a content sigh as she leaned on her hands and arced her back, her rear rolling up and offering more to be play with “tha whole town… her words trailed away, then she turned to Glindiel “so pretty, will our songbird be gracin us with ‘er voice again?”

Varthes

Varthes

Varthes could tell that Mira was reaching the end of what she wanted to reveal. That would not do however. She was the first contact he had made in the city, and he was loath to just let her go. Fortunately, Katt presented something of a solution. Her groping hand relaxed Mira, though it forced Varthes to suppress a groan.

Mira's request to Glindiel gave him an idea. He leaned over towards the elven woman so that his lips were not to far from her pointed ear. His hot breath rolled across her as he whispered, "How about a little more music. I think an enchanting song from you might loosen her lips some more."
