Quills

I actually didn't mind that. I thought she found a positive outlet for her passions, instead of spilling back over into "mental illness".

I agree with this point. I didn't like the implication that she was replacing her mental addiction with bdsm, sort of sends the message that anyone who enjoys bdsm would use other means to experience pain for the sheer joy of it or to escape a negative situation.
and we all know that's not the truth!
That being said, I felt that it brought bdsm out into mainstream society and in the end showed how a M/s relationship can be happy and seemingly normal. *L* Seemingly. :p

I agree that Quills could have been more erotic, but it was still worth watching for a greater awareness of the man.

Thank you Sir :rose:
The PG can get a bit dross at times.
Even tho I'm not in a lifestyle relationship at this time, it doesn't change the fact that I'm still a submissive at heart.

~kym~ lurking in the shadows.....

I like some mental humiliation of a woman. If I know she gets off on it. And if it's in private.

I don't see it so much as "breaking her spirit" as pushing her into a zone where she can only be taken, but wants to experience.

Breaking her would leave her, well, broken. And after a good humiliation scene, a slut is more glowing and envigorated than "broken".

Or am I missing something?

Seriously, I don't think you are missing anything. I think you are talking about what I think I was, when I said it's not about breaking her spirit as much as it is about ego and will. I need a bit of "mental humiliation." I think other submissives do, too.

Exactly. Well said!

A great many people do not understand that most of us who choose this lifestyle, do so because they LIKE it.

Agreed ADR, and my response to those who would denigrate my choice is 'ppffffffttt!' :p
Given the two, I'll choose a bdsm relationship o'r a 'nilla' one any day.

~kym~ why go nilla when a better choice is available?
