I agree with this point. I didn't like the implication that she was replacing her mental addiction with bdsm, sort of sends the message that anyone who enjoys bdsm would use other means to experience pain for the sheer joy of it or to escape a negative situation.
and we all know that's not the truth!
That being said, I felt that it brought bdsm out into mainstream society and in the end showed how a M/s relationship can be happy and seemingly normal. *L* Seemingly.

I agree that Quills could have been more erotic, but it was still worth watching for a greater awareness of the man.
