Quick release restraints

Does anyone know if there are restraints that are available that are quick release ?

Right now we are using scarves and rope, but I am looking for something that can be used to restrain yet can be easily released by the person doing the restraining.
( Does that make sense ? )

When we play, sometimes it is a hassle to untie my legs, yet the rope will not allow my legs to be moved a great deal. The other night Î thought my foot was going to snap off from the pressure on the rope.

I don't have lots of money to spend on toys, so I anyone knows how to make some.... or find some that are not too expensive please let me know.

I use a combination of rope and quick-release hooks.

That has several advantages imo.

1.) the separate bit of rope I use as a "cuff" so to speak has a fixed length and will not tighten any further when struggling to avoid accidental cut off of blood flow,

2.) attaching those via the hooks to the rope fixed to the bed - posts - doors - chairs is quick and easy, any loop will do

3.) it is rather convenient to change positions during bondage play - the "cuff" bit remains on the person and is just clicked to another rope or such.

4.) the options of that set-up are wide, all goes, from hog-tie to spread eagle, with a simple click, while the "cuff" bit can remain on the victi... errrr partner

I know that sounds a bit cryptic, but if I get around to it I will take a few snap shots tonight and post them if that helps.

The whole solution is cheap too - all bought in your regular local DIY (though I do strongly recommend to NOT save on the hooks/clips! I did that at first and they were horrible, with sharp edges where you don't want them - so either spend some more money on those or invest some time to smooth them (sand paper or such) so they are suitable for the purpose))

I think I know what you mean. I used to have a keychain that had a really big clip attached to it that I could clip onto my belt loop or purse.

Something like that ?

Basically yes, though I am using a different type of clip/hook.

it can be easily operated/released by the person restraining and can be done by the person in the restraints, though it is not possible to release on the same wrist eg.

You can find this stuff at home depot, Walmart, or any hardware store. I have a bunch of the double end snaps and a few spring loaded snap hooks. You'll need some good quality leather restraints with D rings. And D rings on your ropes. Eye hooks work well on wooden things like spreader bars. Then you can quickly put someone in any type bondage and release them in seconds. But if there is a possibility of the person putting a load on the connection, like if you have them standing with their hands secured over their head, you'll need a special panic connection that allows you to open it if they were to pass out. They are a little more expensive, but not too bad.

I have found that the thing I as well as my Mistress prefer is something quite simple and cheap. I thought of it one day when playing around with my friend's dog.

Buy choke chains, make the customary loop with them and slip them on. The cold metal feels heavenly. Then take a carabiner clip and clip it through the big the end of the chain and then to whatever you wish to hook it through.

We use cumfy Kuffs (SP?) that is the trade name the fastenings are velcro, works a treat and are easy to release. Tyiana assures me that they live up to their name*S*

Can You Find Your Own Way Out??

Okay, so we are being brave here -- and talking about our private self-love games -- I think a word of caution might be appropriate:

I have these Kumfy Kuffs (what other brand would someone named Karen Kraft ever buy?....) which are about an inch and three quarters wide nylon blend webbed strapping, on which an inch and a half wide strip of Velcro has been sewn. Each "Kuff" makes a figure-8 -- a big loop (for thighs, according to the manufacturer) and smaller loop (for wrists). I usually affix the large loop not to my thighs, but to the bedposts, while dutifully following the instruction with respect to securing the smaller loop to my wrists.

THEN ONE DAY...
I was playing by myself, totally naked, and I wanted to use the Kumfy Kuffs. So, first I secured the big loops to the posts and one of the loops to my wrist. Because they are so far apart, however, I could not use the hand already secured to the post to assist the unsecured wrist (obviously), so I undid the secured wrist and "pre-looped" the wrist loop on one, so I could just wriggle my hand through it to get it down as far as my wrist.

WELL ...
This was particularly stupid, even for me, for reasons that by now you must be able to imagine: There I am, with one wrist tightly secured on one post whilst the other wrist is somewhat loosely secured over by the other post.

UH OH...
Once my masturbatory writhing about on the bed (that was supposed to be the fun part, in case you weren't following this) grew tiresome, and I wanted to go do something else, I realized that slipping one's hand all the way through a thick nylon webbing strap just large enough to make it over the hand and up to the wrist is REALLY dumb, because, when you try to pull your hand back out through the loop, it goes side-ways, and twisting and turning your hand about at the wrists only turns the non-loop portion of the figure-8 and does nothing to unsecure the wrist.

ABOUT THAT TIME...
I was very happy that I did NOT secure my ankles as well, since I simply had to lift up my legs and use my toes to undo the Velcro on the looser wrist, right? Ummm, things don't really work like that in real life. Even getting both feet in the general proximity of my secured wrists was pretty much impossible, let alone operating my toes like fingers to undo an inch and a half wide Velcro hook and loop coupling. No way, I'm afraid, no way.

YOU GUESSED IT...
I was trapped. I didn't want to yell for help, since I was alone in the apartment at the time and I was unsure about the wisdom of summoning whatever neighbor or passer-by might hear me, as doing so might not have helped my situation at all. I was living abroad at the time.

SO TIME PASSED...
About three hours later, the maid came into the house to clean, and I waited for her to come upstairs to the hallway outside my room. I yelled my most relaxed and customary good afternoon to her and asked if she would come down the hall and into my room for a minute. Before she even got to my bedroom door, I began saying that I had done a very stupid thing to myself and that it is really funny, etc. I smiled warmly and tried to calmly continue my explanation, but she screamed and said she was going to call the police right away.

GREAT!!!...
I cried out for her to release me first -- that seemed to make sense to her. Once she released me, I could hold on to her, stop her from rushing over to the phone, and explain what happened. It took twenty minutes to convince her that there wasn't anybody else involved.

For quick release, I find that you can still use rope. My fiance and his ex girlfriend came up with this one, they are both sub and used to tie one another up a lot.

The half hitch. Not a very effective knot. But make four, five or six of them, and that rope isn't going anywhere. Crafters among you will recognize the pattern as "crocheting."

To undo it, you need only pull the end of the rope and it all comes apart. Secure, sexy, totally simple, and houdini-proof as long as you keep that end of the rope out of reach.
