...does anyone have experience of producing audio versions of their stories? I'm trying to find a female voice for a noir type piece and I'm scratching my head where to begin if I'm honest. I don't want to blindly message folks who've created audio stories before as that's just plain rude in my opinion.

I think this is your best option, and I doubt there would be many who considered it rude to be asked. I bet they'd be flattered even if they weren't interested in doing it.
