Liar said:Here's what I propose.
- Flash fiction, max 500 words. Or maybe shorter? Longer? What's reasonable?
- 24 hour deadline, from the opening of the contest thread.
- Some kind of theme, presented in the contest thread.
- Anoymous submissions, submitted via PM.
- Voting procedure not decided. Depends on the number of submissions, I guess.
- Possibly some kind of prize. But not anything worth cheating for.
Wait and see.AngelShadow said:I don't have a word count ability. :S But I'd love to try it. Although, if it's a theme... *shudders* What KIND of theme?
Liar said:Agreed, if nobody else wants to manage the thingy. I'm swamped this weekend.
Let's try this then:
Contest start: Sunday at 10 PM CET. That's Central European Time (or Civilized Exact Time, as I'd like to call it) for you Americanos. Would mean 9 PM in London, 4 PM in the White House and 1 PM in California. Figure your own launch hour from that.
Deadline for entries: Wednesday at 10 PM CET.
Sounds acceptable?
Thank you.Stella_Omega said:Short-short fiction, or writing exercises. Some of the internet crowd call them "Drabble" *shudder*
Sometimes they have a word limit, like this one, or have to stem from a sentence or phrase... There's a lovely one around here somehwere, let me see if I can find it for you![]()

There's a flashy thread over at the poetry forum (max 100 words) that have produced some rather excellent pieces. A good starting point for inspiration.Stella_Omega said:Short-short fiction, or writing exercises. Some of the internet crowd call them "Drabble" *shudder*

Up to you. It's three days. And you only have to write between 1 and 500 words. If you get struck by a sudden muse attack and just can't help yourself, have us in mind.Svenskaflicka said:Second thought, I better drop out this time. Sorry for being so wishy-washy, but I have to concentrate on my exams.![]()
I did. You'll know when the competition starts. That's part of the fun.Elizabetht said:Did we decide on a theme yet?
