Can you use Master and/or Mistress when replying to female domme? Just how much control should a domme have over slave? In role playing is it suppose to go fast? The two most generally accepted salutations for a Domme are Mistress and Lady or My Lady, never Master.

i think the best bet is asking questions, and also going with your own preferences. if it's going too fast for you, then get out! and as for what rights a "slave" has - you ahve whatever rights you want, really. if it's online rp, i'd say go with what she wants but be sure to play safe irl.

While Mistress and My Lady are probably more common for dommes, it's not at ALL true that Sir, Master, and other "male" honorifics would never be used. Speaking as someone with heavy involvement in the gay SM community, I know quite a lot of female Daddies and Masters.

• Yes, you can use either Master or Mistress. She will usually indicate which she prefers.
• How much control a domme should have depends on what BOTH people want. Negotiation is an essential part of BDSM interaction, and it should take place BEFORE anything starts. "How much control" is definitely something to discuss in negotiations.
• Is it supposed to go fast? Well, it depends what you mean by role playing. In general, there is no reason for a BDSM relationship to go any faster than a non-kinky relationship.
• Does the "slave" have any control - this is a tough question. Usually a slave does not have control, but NOT ALL bottoms are slaves. In fact, being a slave is something that requires an extended prior relationship - you can't be someone's slave within a week of meeting them.
• Keep in mind, there is a big difference between being a submissive and being a doormat. You have rights, and you have responsibilities. You should expect to fulfill your responsibilities, and in exchange you get what you are entitled to. As for being scared...don't let someone intimidate you. As I mentioned, do the negotiations FIRST.
• You mention this is an online-only relationship; are you looking to take it to RL? If so, definitely do research. Don't let one person be your sole source of information. The BDSM Talk board right here on Lit is a great resource and you can ask lots of questions there. Don't be afraid to leave the GLBT section - the questions you asked above apply to everyone, male or female, so people who are not gay will still have helpful answers for you. (And I also frequent the BDSM Talk board, and I know most of the people there will be more than happy to help.)
