How did most of you find other mates in the lifestyle? I accidently found myself as a Dom somewhat recently and now am wondering how you find a partner in this lifestyle.

Well, there are a number of websites for singles (or not) in the BDSM scene.

You also could hook up with your local munch groups. They are social groups for those involved with BDSM and it is a good way to network. A typical munch is not a dating scene, but getting to know people, is always the first best step.

Of course, my experiences weren't the best, but hopefully yours will be!

I met the Dom I am involved with at a game site, believe it or not. We both play backgammon and it is a site where you can chat and play at the same time. That was 2 years ago.

What's funny is I used to work at a bar that has fetish nights years ago but it never hit me. Now, I can't really imagine a relationship that didn't involve it to some degree.

Personally, I do not do well meeting people online or in chat rooms. When starting out, I used google to search for bdsm sites and munches and eventually found a couple within a hour or so of my home. I attended for a while before meeting my present Dom, but it was well worth it.... I just don't think there's any better way than face to face.
