The problem that arises in such scenarios is that one day, when the younger partner (still relatively young) finds themselves responsible for the care of an elderly person, they will realize the gravity of their mistake.

I don't think stories featuring 40-year-old women or men seducing 18 or 19-year-olds are about any long-term thing for either party. It can develop into that (usually for one party, not the other). The point is short-term sexual gratification. The cherry-popping mentality. It's also right on the border of what you can't write about here. So for these reasons, and probably many more, you have a lot of Monque Lewinsky and Bill Clinton twice-your-age romances. The young stud wanna-be, the older man or woman looking to put another notch on their pistol grip of stolen innocence.
