Question for the Ladies:

I have a question for the female members, Given the advances in "Toy" technologies; the fact that "BFF's" are more in-tuned with female minds, hearts and bodies; Sperm Banks; etc etc then aside from Heavy Lifting, changing car tires, and other "dirty" icky yucky jobs... my question is - What do Women need men for?
1. Sex? - Toys Strap-ons etc - women are more in-tuned to women's bodies than men are ("hit & miss")
2. Companionship?- Men don't/can't understand a woman like a woman can.
3. Financial Security? - Equal employment, equal education and training. women can and do earn as much if not more than men do.
4. Physical Security? - how much muscle does it take to pull a trigger.
5. Emotional Support? - again men don't/can't understand a woman like another woman can. (They are form Mars for Christ sake! They don't speak Venusian).
6. Reproduction? - Sperm Banks; Artificial Insemination etc.
7. Child Rearing? - there are far more single moms out there than single dads, and they are doing a heck of a fine job! I was raised by a widowed single mom who never remarried since I was 10. Now there are same sex couples to raise kids.
8. If I missed something please add!

So aside from changing a tire or maybe a light bulb or fuse in a dark dingy basement; taking out or picking up the garbage etc. etc. etc..... my question is:

WHAT DO WOMEN NEED MEN FOR? WHAT DO FEMALES NEED MALES FOR?

Haha!!! (Female here) I live with my mother still and I have yet to find a male friend or lover that would fix my busted pipes. Alas I learned a new skill!

But I think a lot of us are wired to WANT men.
Its not about needs... And I think you're selling men short in a massive way!

I'm not trying to sell men short. I'm just trying to understand how women feel about or need men. I grew up in my younger days surrounded by very conservative old school catholic women (aunts and grandmother) no enlightenment from them. Then in an environment of males All boys catholic schools and my first cousins and up to now my friends are 99% guys. The Ladies I do know can't seem to explain so I'd understand it or maybe I'm just dense. I'd just like to get the womens pespective about men.

I agree that it's not about need. Being a straight female I just am not interested in a female lover even if one would be hypothetically better in some ways than a male lover. Women are boring to me. Men (or more specifically, the approximately 10% of men that I consider attractive) are just appealing to my instincts as well as my romantic notions. I also damn well would not want to be a single parent.
