Question for parents concerning war protest

How many of your school children are sincere in going to war protest by skipping school?

If they were not sincere at all and just wanted to skip schools, should they be gased as punishment?

And why are people protesting the fact we're trying to depose a dictator who murders his own people? *shrugs*

I noticed on the news that the children (up to about 17 i guess) were speaking to the media in handy soundbites.

Not good.

I would spank my child on the bottom if she wanted to skip school for not being ill. She is only 7 but her future will depend on her education. Along with my boys too.

Yes, because every single MINUTE of school matters.

Interesting how it was nice middle class liberal kids who skiped school?

I wonder if they've ever protested about the plight of the Iraqi people under Sadam.

Or the plight of the Zimbabwe people under Mugabe.

I Doubt it?

Kids will participate in anything that gets them out of school.
When I was 13, everyone in my school walked out for a sit-in protest on the front lawn of our junior high because the dress code wouldn't allow shorts or short skirts. A lot of the boys wore skirts as part of the protest.

Pretty bold for Idaho farm kids.

Idealism is a wonderful thing. Sometimes you have to protest and take your knocks so that, as you age, you can be more discriminating in what you fight for...

Not that you, ChilledVodka, deserve a straight answer.

As a poerson who took a 7 year leave from her education I would say. Yes. Every single minute counts.
