I ordered 2 bottles of haircare product from a person on Ebay. Recieved the package yesterday. The seller had wrapped each plastic bottle in foamy stuff, then plastic, then newspaper, and put all that into a big envelope.

One of the bottles leaked, and so I've lost about $17 worth of product. I e-mailed the seller immediately and have not heard back from her. Not only that, she has nothing for sale anymore either.

I'm willing to give her a little time, but since she hasn't responded and had been very prompt before, I'm getting a little anxious.

My question is this: Who is responsible? The seller or the post office?

payment

how did you pay for the product?

pay pal... gives you some opportunities , have you contacted ebay about it?

sorry I did n't answer your question

the post office is not responible unless there was insurance purchased for the shipment, did the shipper even tell the post office they were shipping liquid? sounds like it wasn't packaged properly, a small box was needed.

the shipper is sounds like to me....

Yeah, that's what I was thinking. I'd have taken better care with the packaging. Plastic bottles are flexible and can be crushed.

No, I haven't contacted anyone else yet. I wanted to give her a chance to get back to me.

Thank you.
