Question about profile pix - help!

Hopefully someone can answer this for me...

I added a picture to my member profile several days ago, and it shows up when I click "Edit your profile", but it doesn't show up on my actual profile page on the Lit site. There's no picture at all.

It's just a small GIF file. Does anyone know if images have to be manually approved by someone before they get posted, or if there's some restriction on what formats can be posted? I don't want to bother Laurel & Manu again, but I thought someone else might know the answer. It's not that important, really, but I'd like to know if I'm doing something wrong.

Thanks! I think! But is that true of photos on the main Lit site, too (such as when you click a member's name after reading a story), or just avatars within the forum? I didn't realize they were the same.

And about your picture on your profile. The owners of the site have to approve it before you can see it on your profile, so it might take a few days before we all can see it.

I see you got your answer. You also know that you cannot get an avatar up until you reach your 100 post. The picture you choose for the avatar is not the same as in your profile.
