question about pms here

I have 2 pms I sent to someone in my sent items folder. Both are shown as gray pieces of paper which is supposed to indicate that they've been read by the recipient. But under message tracking, both messages are shown as unread. So which is right?

Perhaps they used the "deny receipt" option. The PM opens but the sender will not see it as read.

First, the sent copies folder has nothing to do with the message tracking. Even when a person clicks "deny receipt", the message does eventaually fall to the bottom screen where Pm's that have been read are located. So basically, deny recepit does not work.
