I asked this on How To as well. When editing a published story, is it possible to change the title too? I have a reason for doing that, but I'll hold off explaining the reason right now.

It's not a big deal, just wondering how to do it.

I think if you want to do that, put a message in the additional notes AND PM Laurel about it. I have not asked her to do that, specifically, but she has moved mountains in other areas.

I did that once. I forget how. I assume that if you PM Laurel, although that might not be the "right way to do it," it'll get done.

Failing that, I imagine resubmitting with the same text and a new title, plus a note to the admins, should do it as well.

I'd do this, so it gets into the processing queue. I'd use the old title plus EDIT, though, so Laurel can find it quickly; and put the New Title in the Notes.

@gunhilltrain must be a convert to TitleGuyPartOne's way of thinking ;).

Submit it as a new story and put EDIT in the title along with the original title. In the Admin Note section, put what you want the new title to be.

I changed the title and category of one of mine when I wrote a second chapter and it went through in the same timeframe as a normal submission. YMMV on how long it takes.

Thanks you, but I haven't heard of him. A lot of stuff goes by here in AH, so it's easy to miss things. I know, I could look him up. Maybe tomorrow.

I know it's going to take a long time to go through, but I'm in no rush.

You are so literal, Gunhill. Surely by now you've figured out I'm not?
