When I was just a little girl
I asked my mother
What will I be
Will I be pretty
Will I be rich
Here's what she said to me:

In school when I was ten, we had to write about one of our classmates, imagining them as adults. The two people who picked me as a subject both predicted I would become a mad professor.

Forty years on and my sons' friends call me the "mad professor". So there was something there, I guess. Maybe I missed my calling: I may be a little eccentric, but I dropped out of college, and I've avoided academia like the plague.

Have you turned out as you/your schoolfriends/your parents predicted?

Or are you still wondering who you might become?

I was thought of as religious, sensitive, reclusive and artistic. I'm still sensitive, reclusive (in RL) and artistic.

P.

p.s. but when I really was a little girl my father said he expected me to be a movie star or be married by 16.

I wanted to be the Chiquita banana lady, the closest I came was the fruit hat!

But you're stillsweet and tasty. And I'm sure you help prevent cramp.

:)

What did you think of that prediction?

I loved it, especially the way my father said it, as if either of those two things would make me happy. Getting married at 16 wasn't a big deal in my family and I doubt anyone else in my life thought I could be a moviestar. btw, we had recently moved to L.A. (where my papi died a year later :( ). P.

Papi would be proud of you anyway!!!:rose:

damn I was most likely to appear on the cover of a tabloid strung out with "Exhaustion" Or was I most likely to famous? Oh well I can't recall.

My parents are proud of me and so I done good :D

You make me proud too, des. Well, maybe proud isn't exactly le mot juste...

Yep. That's it. You make me dur. (french for 'hard')

Dammit, Renza, you could have sold that photo for thousands!
