Each to thier own but . . .

Maybe she just doesn't want to go all damn night though. Yanno? Maybe she is tired or pressed for time.

Quickies have their place and a fine place it is too.

Likewise "maintenance" sex is glorious in it's own way.

If my husband or I felt we had to do all that every time, we'd rarely have sex. Life is too busy for all that much of the time.

LOL Thank GOD for 'maintenance' sex and quickies.

I agree with both of you ladies, and we do have the occasional quickie, and it is usually good, but what I meant is if she is not into having it that night we just let it build for when we have it. :)

Ah, now I understand you better. Thank you for your post.

Sex, for me, is about more than the orgasm. Their's more to good sex than how good my orgasm is, or how much fun I have. It's about the other person, it's about closeness and intimacy, it's about love.

Wow, the wisdom of each of these statements, both speak of the kind of love that is true!

But are love and sex always intertwined? Do we need sex to feel loved? Do we have to love the person we're having sex with?

All questions from my youth...sorry

Sure, I love love and I love sex but I'm not always making love when I'm having sex. I do love my partner, but when we're having sex it's not always a "making love" thing. Sometimes it's just raw and selfish, whether I'm giving or recieving either can be selfish. I love to give her pleasure as it makes me happy...but it doesn't satisfy the need.

EXPLANATION: At the age of 51, I am no longer willing to compromise.
