A wiffleball is a plastic ball, the size of a baseball, that has holes on half of it. depending on how you grip the ball, put spin on it when throwing, the way you release it, the ball will make various movement when in flight, like curving, rising, dropping quickly, etc. It's basicly a trick ball. The game of wiffleball is similar to baseball, with home plate and 1st, 2nd, and 3rd base, and generally, although there are official rules for tournaments, etc, most of the time kids will make up rules, field boundaries, etc. to fit the number of kids they have and the space in which they have to play. kickball is usually played with a ball the size of a volleyball (we actually have used a volleyball before). This also uses the same home plate plus 3 bases theme as in baseball. one team is on the field, the other "bats" so to speak. the pitcher rolls the ball to the batter, who kicks the ball, then runs the bases.

EJ, you've seen Elton John 5 times? I am jealous. I think one of the highlights of my life is seeing Paul McCartney in concert a few years ago. Makes me smile to think about it. I'm going to be his love slave.

i've actually seen him seven times if you count the concerts he did with billy joel and eric clapton. i'm only sorry that i never saw a show where it was just him w/the piano. all of the times i've seen him has been with the full band (in its many incarnations). however... i have to say that i was very lucky to see him perform "empty garden" live in the philadelphia spectrum. he RARELY does that song because it was written in john lennon's memory and brings too much sadness to EJ to sing it.

i haven't seen mccartney but have many videos of various concerts he's done. i'm so jealous that you've seen him live. he's the guardian of a great catalogue of beatles songs and we're lucky to have them available to us since many weren't performed live by the band itself.

EJ, for the most part, yes I do like working from home. I have worked at home in different capacities every year since 1989 except for 2. Sometimes it takes a lot of focus to get things accomplished. Sometimes I feel like I have to do more than people in the office do to get a fair shake from them. That's one of the things that drives me at times. Sometimes I get into a rut like I have been lately.

As for what I do, I provide engineering/technical services for custom fabrication and installation of architectural materials for construction projects.

So, how would you answer the same questions?

i do desktop publishing... much of my work is e-versions of things i collaborate on with a local printer (who's so pc-illiterate it's surprising he's still in business... in fact, he still does offset printing). every now and again i do some graphic design work but it's very basic. i don't have the skills that quoll has in that area... not by any stretch.

i enjoy working from home. a lot of people think it's more fantastic than it really is... they think it's very convenient... but the truth of the matter is that when i get up in the morning, i'm at work... and when i stop at night, i'm still at work. lol.

His show is 3/4 Beatles stuff. As a matter of fact some of the stuff he's done with Wings or solo doesn't impress me that much.

It was more a culmination of a lifelong dream.

I've mentioned this before here but I'm finishing off some space in our attic (it's a large attic) and will be moving my office up there soon; I'm in the basement right now and don't even have a window. It can be a drag some days.

"Hey Jude" was awesome. The whole concert was great. Lots of fans my age or older, lots of familiarly fragrant smoke, if you get my drift...
