I just saw this in the cart of the lady in front of me at the supermarket. It is a bit late for this Halloween and probably everyone else knows about it. However, just in case.

The lady had a pumpkin stencil. No matter how lacking in artistic talent you are, you can stencil a quite fancy design on your [properly sized] pumpkin and then cut out the design. STAY WITHIN THE LINES! THE LINES ARE YOUR FRIEND!

I assure that the poeple in my area respect [OK fear] me far too much for that to happen.

Two kids rang my bell today (in the middle of the day, can you believe it? Kids have no sense for traditions!) and asked "trick or treat?"
I had forgotten to buy candy, so I said "trick!"

They looked completely dumbstruck, and just went "okeeeey..?"

Then they tricked me - by throwing snowballs at my windows! :D
(Yes, we had a full out snow storm here today.) I think the punishment was perfectly fitting for my "crime". It spooked me to suddenly hear the "thud!" on my windows, but it didn't harm anyone. Perfect trick.
