Publishing Rules

Oh, I find many things acceptable in the world of fiction. As a matter of fact the example of the 16 year old girl above is well within my ethics. It is part of a story that I wrote on another site but could not publish here.
I even had a tongue in cheek comment on one of my stories where I engaged in animal abuse because I had my MC feed his wife's lovers' testicles to his dog.

And you justified such animal cruelty to yourself how exactly? Seriously, enlighten us, please.

Morality and ethics are specific things. And how you portray people in fanfic, actors or characters, isn't saying the people behave that way in real life. The writer is saying what if. What if, is the most basic of writing tools? It ain't illegal. To you, it may be unethical or immoral. But your perspective doesn't need to be everyone's view. Without the what if, the chicken doesn't cross the road.
Not at all. They are actors getting paid to play a part. How they represent a group of people or a lifestyle is a completely different thing. I was talking about using the person's real identity and making up actions.

So, what gives you the moral high ground, exactly?

Laughable that you really consider that animal cruelty.
Even the comment was tongue in cheek but another commenter went further and said he hoped the poor dog would not suffer when the vet cut him open to collect evidence.

You don't consider nutting a dog to feed his jewels to the guy's wife as not abusing the animal?

EDIT: then again, it's fiction, so no real dog lost his nuts. Just as no person was killed by a stabbing in one of my stores.

I do not say I have the moral high ground. I find certain things to be potentially dangerous. The site rules were designed to stop those problems, hence the ban on underage sex or going too far with religious beliefs, for example.
Using a real person's identity in a fictional story is one of those things that has potential for abuse. You took away his or her right to be portrayed in a truthful manner. Calling him a celebrity does not absolve that.

I did not nut the dog. I nutted the lover and fed the balls TO the dog in front of his wife.

It was a very short BTB story called 'Batteries not included". And yes to those who want to complain, I stole the title.

Some of the celebrities used in stories on this site have gladly taken part in their own sexualization.

That includes all of those portrayed in my fanfics.

I do not consider being the subject of sexual fantasy as a bad thing. When it is mocking, disrespectful, then we have a problem.

The instances of sexual abuse in my stories are for awareness, not glorification. I hope the difference is obvious to the reader. In your case, you seem to be asking for glorification of such things. I won’t give it to you.

To you, it may be unethical or immoral. But your perspective doesn't need to be everyone's view.
Oh that has been made clear here.
I find some of the inconsistencies of what you can or not say strange. Trump once made a totally uncouth comment about a news commentator maybe being on her period or PMS'ing. (Something like that.) You'd have thought he'd physically assaulted her from the reaction. It was considered a direct emotional attack. No 'parody', 'it was only what if', or anything else in that case.

Something interesting here as well. Since posting this thread yesterday, I received a whole passel of comments in various stories by Anonymous questioning my 'ethics'. I assume they were each accompanied by a 1 bomb.
For the first time, I deleted comments.

I’ve had such comments happen to me and would never inflict them on another author. I hope you’re not accusing anyone.

A title cannot be copyrighted. Well, that was quite extreme.

Two public figures, it's rude, crude, and wrong, but probably not illegal.

Oh yes. Quite extreme and fit the story. The MC was ill and had ED. The cheating wife kept saying her two lovers were simply toys like her vibrator. At the end of the story she realized what he was feeding his dog as it did tricks for him. He said he took the batteries out of her 'toys'. It was a very short story.

But people who write real-person fic about celebs having happy, consensual sex where nobody gets hurt are the baddies here. Gotcha.

Who knew the road to sanctimony was as simple as changing the names and adding a bit of nonconsensual mutilation?

Hey, guys, isn't writing about sex and stuff kind of... Icky? I mean how can you justify that ethically?

I will make one final comment before leaving this thread altogether.

I have been schooled here. Obviously a person's right to his own identity, history, or even life story is NOT an issue with most of the authors here. Anybody can totally fabricate say what they want about that person with perfect impunity.

That is fine with me.
