I've had a story submitted for almost two weeks now. It's still in the Pending box. Can someone help to determine if it's stuck for some reason?

They will get to it. There's like one final reviewer and they have a lot to go through to categorize properly and all.. just be patient.

No one who can help (only the site submissions editor, Laurel) will respond to your query here. Two weeks is long enough of a delay to ask her (by conversation message on this page if you have messages turned on) to ask her directly if the story submission has been overlooked.

I've had this - and came here looking for help - on my last couple. They came through fine, just delayed. I'd wait it out!

Make sure you don't click on the story when it's shown as pending. That, I've been told by others here, sends the story to the back of the queue

Not sure this is a correct statement. I've clicked on pending to see which stories are awaiting publication. It just shows the titles pending. I did that two days ago to check on a story and it posted the next day.

Note: A number of comments have been made about a week or two not being too terribly out of line as a wait time. Usually it is within a week ... usually being relative.

On the other hand, when you click on the story to open it in the pending status and modify the story, you are warned that you will have to resubmit it. In that instance it goes to the back of the line.

Wait time varies, I have found. Seems to do with volume of stories submitted, perhaps the category the story is entered in, and at if the network is 'under repairs' again.

As has been often stated in the forum, there is one person who determines the postings. Certainly, she has a lot to do and an anticipated timeline for posting will vary depending upon volume.

Use KeithD's suggestion - send a PM to Laurel and ask.
