Publishing advice?

To the pretentious sounding boob above me.

This is a cover done on Microsoft publisher with a $3 stock photo. It's not perfect, but plenty good enough for an e-book

I think that's my favorite one of your covers, to date. Nice image.

Thanks, one of mine as well. Goddamn that's a fine ass!

Is that the image you bought a long time ago that inspired you to write that particular story? I seem to recall you finding an image you really liked, and you sort of had this idea around the characters...

That's a pretty inspiring image.

I've now done it both ways - written the story and found the image afterward, and found an image based on a rough idea and written the story afterward.

Good memory! I bought that a few months back. I spotted it and the story jumped into my head, but I was still finishing the Circle novel.

When I look for a particular image for a story I bookmark any other photo that jumps out at me its like a "picture bunny"

I have also based a couple of my stories on porn clips I've seen on redtube. In fact my winter contest entry was based on one.

Below is another photo I saw two months ago and now have the story to go with it. I had to crop it though as the original shows the girl's ass.

Save yourself a bunch of bother and just self publish on Smashwords.

It's relatively easy to format your .doc file to their style guide and if you just follow a few additional guidelines (like a good cover - which doesn't have to be expensive at all, unless you want it to be)

Funnily enough, I kinda do want it to be expensive! I have a friend who's a good graphic artist and is having difficulty making ends meet, but they're uncomfortable with accepting charity, so I'd be happy to give them a commission.

People always have their individual motivations (if not, stories would get real boring or be difficult to write). That's a very generous, and well-thought-of motivation.
