Psychocatblah has a story up for dissection and discussion over in the Story Discussion Circle board. It's far from your usual fuck-romp, and is a dense and original and very interesting piece of writing.

All you critics and students should go over and have a look.

Anyone seen Rumple? MLyons? Phildo? The Tulip?

I wouldn't start that alternat identity stuff if I was you. It almost caused a riot in the Who's Who thread.

I'm here. I've read the story. I was quite enthralled by it actually, and I wanted give it its due attention when I have some time (maybe read ahead a couple chapters). I'll probably be able to comment tomorrow morning (Saturday).

Thanks for the heads up, I'll be sure to go take a look at it some time. I am always interested in learning. I'm only an aspiring writer, heh.. I took no courses in literature or advanced english or anything of the type. Some of the discussions that the people here on Lit hold are amazingly informative and I try to take advantage of them when I am able.

Again, thanks Zoot :)

Thanks for the tip. I exchanged views with Psy.. on one of my stories. I took a look and posted comments.

I have read some of the works.

I'm not sure whether I'm in a minority but I am very reluctant to critique other writers. I am well aware of my own failings as a writer.

I do not have the skills or training to provide significant insights into writing technique. One year's adult education class in Creative Writing does not qualify me as an expert. If it was a report or technical handbook then I can advise, but fiction? No.

As with most on the AH I can tell a real stinker when I find it but usually those writers are beyond help at this stage. If the grammar and spelling are reasonable that is enough for me.

All I can say is that many of the stories I read by AH regulars educate me in the ranges of style and expression that produce valid stories, but how the effects are achieved? I'm learning and not able to advise another.

I can't tell when I'm writing whether the current story will be a success or a failure. If I can't do that for myself, I can't do it for others.

I find that reading the 'How To' stories from time to time gives me cogent advice in an easily digestible form. The resources on Literotica for writers are amazing and would cost a lot in book form.

So - I regret I must decline to assist through incapacity.

Apologies.

Not quoting Og here, but I do.

I honestly feel I was born to be an editor rather than a writer.
I can see where others go wrong, yet not myself. I'm too rushed to post my stuff to sit back and read what crap it is LOL

I read them these days and cringe.

Gimme the post link. I'll have a boggle. ;-)
