I've had one serious conversation with AJ ever; it must have been six or seven years ago now? It ended precisely at the moment when old boy realized he was never, ever, EVER going to convince me to embrace Objectivist principles.

Let's examine this out-dated parochial ideology, the original Liberalism which now calls itself Libertarianism. A philosophy that says if you feed a man, you must fed him every day, you must infantilize him, so you must teach him to fish. Maybe a bit Biblical, but on point. Now modern Liberalism of which many of you champion, teaches a man that if you are hungry, it is the duty of society to feed you, hence actions such as our President waiving the welfare work requirements. You infantilize the man, making him, in respect, less of a man, maybe even less than a human, for you treat him as a ward. You tell him there are no jobs for you (blaming we, the "Parochial") so we will feed you while at the same time allowing an influx of labor to do the jobs that Americans/Europeans won't do, mainly because you will pay them not to work while telling them, let us manage your life, just keep voting for us. So while you would never, ever say that they are less than human, you will treat them as such.

In similar fashion, this brave new polity of limitless altruism and concern for all of humankind has allowed 55 million to be murdered by simply dismissing them as NOT EVEN HUMAN. They were never even given a chance to attempt to be human. Now it believes that it can take a sick human, cost-analyze them and then tell them, you are no longer worth the cost to society, you have outlived your usefulness, and while it is wrapped in compassion and doing the best for the greater good, in reality, you are still relegating to a new status in their life, less than human.

As far as Haiti, as soon as the cameras were off, they went right back to being nothing, less than human, and the only thing that you have to show for it was your earnest verbal expressions of caring and compassion. At least my wife and her church group still make their annual pilgrimage there to try and make a difference; to use their religion to try to teach them how to fish.

None of the rest of you have done fucking squat. Your polity is the polity of the accordion section leading us into battle....
