For those of you unfamiliar with the story Biden has broken and important campaign promise about no more drilling on federal lands. Yes I'm pretty pissed about that for the record. This whole "All of the above" strategy is bullshit and needs to put to rest, permanently. This is definitely a fuck you Biden moment and there aren't a whole lot of them but this is way up there.

I notice there isn't a thread about this and its not like its breaking news at this point. There is of course a pretty obvious answer as to why. Libs want to talk as little about this as possible, Biden betrayed us in a major way this is a huge deal. We know how screwed up this is but if we don't talk about it. . .well that's better than drawing attention to it.

On the flip side what is a conservative gonna do? Complain that Biden only allowed three wells not the originally proposed five? The last thing they want to do is give the President credit for letting private industry drill. So RightGuard and Speccio just decided this one isn't worth their time, not when there are washing machines and ovens to be pissed about.

I believe the break even point for Putin is still 50 bucks a barrel, anything under that Putin loses money.That would bring real pain to Putin. We have to fight Putin on all fronts especially on the economic front, restrict his ability to purchase more weapons.

The leases have been held for 30 years. Likely a rejection would have led to a lengthy court battles costing millions of dollars, which probably would end up with the same result. The admin just took the shorter way to the same result.

It's unfortunate but Biden put a wet blanket on fossil fuels. Along with increase oil production what is needed is an increase in refinery capacity. That horse left the barn. Biden put too many restrictive regulations on refineries, no company will invest in new refinery capacity. Oil companies will continue to buy back stocks, take care of shareholders and Russia will continue to make money on 80 to 90 dollar a gallon oil prices and fund the destruction of Ukraine.

Project Willow will take years to come to market, it has nothing to do with what is happening right now. Biden also has pretty close to zero control over oil production and sales. What you are talking about would require Biden Nationalize the oil fields. I'm not against that mind you but that's what it would take.

Yes, you have BDS. Biden is a moderate.

The whole "he's not liberal" or "he's not conservative" bullshit is from people who fail to realize that the both parties exhibit conservative and liberal values in differing amounts and neither party has been true north on either side of the spectrum for a very long time.

Willow is a toughie. It is Alaska...if they want to risk their home...who are we to say no? Just don't ask us for help if a leak happens. Did the Administration break promises? Yes. Did they sit down with the electorate they are alienating by breaking promises and explain why? No.

We need oil. It is there. We are going to use oil for the foreseeable future. Which is better? Buying it from our enemies? Or trying to be more independent? Trying to stop climate change is ignorant...it is too late. The time to prevent shit from hitting the fan was 40 years ago and it fell of deaf ears. Now...it is about how to mitigate the outcome. Are environmentalists talking about this? No...they are fighting a battle already lost.

Personally, I am OK with the compromise Willow project. And I do still call myself a Democrat. But the Adminstration HAS LOST a whole lot of votes that got them elected. They failed protecting RvW. They failed environmental changes. They failed saving voting rights. They failed protecting human rights. You can only backstab the same electorate so many times before they say fuck you.

High inflation, high gas prices, runaway debt, massive illegal migration and a proxy war with Russia. Now that fed rates are rising at an alarming rates, banks are folding like cheap suits. Biden’s cabinet is a gaggle of incompetent idiots. You can’t possibly believe that the fed didn’t know what raising rates wouldn’t affect these banks. The fed was selling debt and banks were buying it up. Whether it was prudent or not is not the question. It all could have been prevented with sound fiscal policy, energy independence and staffing his cabinet with competent experienced leadership that had the courage to go against the wishes of the extreme left.

The government nationalizing big businesses is classic socialism.
