Profile picture not saving

I have tried adding a profile picture multiple times and it never appears, just says awaiting moderation. I am not familiar with the rules but curious if anyone can help

It means just exactly that ... awaiting moderation.

Usually a few days, sometimes longer. Every time you try, it resets the waiting time.

From my understanding it takes a bit. One person is doing this all on their own so we just need to wait it out patiently. It will get done eventually

Some of us long timers have had to wait a week or more for the change to take effect.

And it's really all because of a few bad actors that couldn't follow the rules about graphic images. Changes were instant until a year ago.
