I think you simply hit 'quote', then cut out what you don't want in there, to make your point more clear. It still shows up in bold as long as you don't mess with the things around it, and it shows up in the box if you don't mess with the
thing around it, either.

Does this help?

Right after the quote tag is an i tag. Don't delete the bit between the i tags and you're all set.

lets try this

[QUOTEOriginally posted by Batchman ]Right after the quote tag is an i tag. Don't delete the bit between the i tags and you're all set.[/QUOTE]

didnt work

When you use the quote button a post reply page pops up with the quote already in the reply box. Only delete text that is between the Letters B enclosed in square brackets.

But if you are quoting why would you want to mess with what the poster said anyway. Just hit the quote button and type your reply under the text that is already there.

Hey I never noticed that little blue Quote button the bottom of the post! I was using the little button right above my text box that 's beside "list" and under "Color"...i never noticed there was a quote button right there on the actual post!

Because Shecurious in many cases what is replied to is only a certain part of the text. Why muddle thru all of the original post just to get to the one point a poster wishes to comment on?
And....sometimes by picking one portion of a post, one can make their response to that point much more clear and concise.

-kym- just my $.02 worth

You use the cute butt on a post.

Only delete text that is between the square brackets.

But if you want to mess with what the poster said "Just hit the quote button and re-type their reply, as if they really said what you quoted".

Then write your answer to what you made them say, under the text that is already there.

shescurious

Of course I might be wrong about what you said!
