Voting rights groups have filed a lawsuit seeking to stop a pro-Trump group from going door-to-door in Colorado in search of evidence to support voter fraud allegations that have already been debunked and rejected by courts.

The lawsuit alleges that the U.S. Election Integrity Plan — led by Shawn Smith, an ally of former Trump strategist Steve Bannon and MyPillow founder Mike Lindell — is sending armed members door-to-door in areas with large numbers of voters of color, questioning people about how they voted and taking photographs of their homes.

The lawsuit, which is backed by the state chapter of the NAACP, the League of Women Voters and Mi Familia Vota, alleges that the "voter intimidation" campaign violates the Voting Rights Act of 1965 and the Ku Klux Klan Act of 1871, a post-Civil War law aimed at preventing white vigilantes from terrorizing Black people to stop them from voting.

The lawsuit cites the "County & Local Organizing Playbook" used by the group, which instructs members to "undertake citizen audit activities to either refute or confirm serious allegations of election malfeasance" in order to "support future legal action."

Yep. My grandmother had a cross burned on her yard in north Denver in the late 1920s because she wouldn't take my grandfather back after he ran off with the maid and then wanted to come home again.
In those days, Klansmen fancied themselves guardians of morality.

Poor guys. You can be sure that they won’t get a penny of their legal fees paid by Trump, Bannon or Lindell.

I read the article and I don't see anything threatening that these people did. They asked these people about their vote and took pictures? That's it?

People who are that easily intimidated are probably too fragile for this world.

At least the door knockers weren't sharing the Good News. Those people scare me.

It is if you're a pansy ass snowflake.

The Biden voter is a timid voter, a voter afraid, of what? Well, what do you have?

Everyone else is pretty much a Kid Rock voter: You can't cancel me; I don't give a fuck!

Ah ain't nowhere's scared...

I don't get the 'Good News'. I'm on their blacklist after I told them I'm Muslim (I'm not!) and told them they were blasphemers who should go to hell.

Being armed is not intimidation.

of course you don't, russian puppetbot

you read the article? you didn't see this as a form of intimidation?
The lawsuit claims that some members have worn "badges" and falsely accused voters of fraud.
"Sometimes armed and donning badges to present an appearance of government officiality, USEIP agents interrogate voters about their addresses, whether they participated in the 2020 election, and — if so — how they cast their vote," the complaint says. "It is reported that multiple agents have claimed to be from 'the county,' and have, without any evidence, falsely accused the residents of casting fraudulent ballots."
if that's fine and dandy with you, just proves you are scum.

as for johnny: so as far as you're concerned, being a Black voter, have White, armed, be-badged people turn up at your door falsely claiming some sort of officialdom, and then proceed to harrass you about who you voted for and accuse you of voting fraudulently, taking pictures of your house to add to their database isn't any form of intimidation?

here's some sand to bury your head in 🙈🙉

How about being armed and black?
can you imagine? bunch of armed Black guys/women wearing badges, saying they're 'from the county', turning up at White households, questioning them about who they voted for and accusing the residents of voting fraudulently, taking pics of their houses? While the majority White, republican-voting neighbourhoods haven't experienced centuries of repression, some would still feel intimidated; more would feel righteously fucked off and no-doubt some gunshots would get fired. The luxury of feeling in the right and supported by the local laws for their actions.

Were any arrests made? Was anyone charged with armed voter intimidation or was this another highly biased narrative by Salon? Walking around armed in an open carry state is not intimidation.
Just because it's not a crime does not mean it is not intimidation.

From that County & Local Organizing Playbook:

The U.S. Integrity Plan began in response to the November 2020 fraudulent election. A group of three like-minded patriots started off as strangers at the Colorado State Capitol on November 7th, 2020. By November 21st, we were no longer strangers, we realized that we had an incredible wealth of skills, experiences, and expertise, and we began organizing with a dozen volunteers from diverse political and professional backgrounds. We knew then that this is the fight. Like you, we had watched as politicians and special interests drove our country into the ground and ensured the rise of our current communist nightmare. But in November 2020, they crossed a line. When they stole our election, they stole our Republic. If we allow the fraud to stand, we become complicit in the destruction of the greatest nation in the history of earth. We become complicit in their crime. No. No one is coming to save us. It’s time to stand up.
This should give you some insight into how these people are thinking, if that is not too strong a word.
