yes, because i think a woman should get to choose what happens to her body.

I am Pro Choice, but Anti Abortion....if that makes any sense.

I would never tell a woman what to do with her body outside a sexual encounter of course, but I would also never encourage anyone to have an abortion, and I certainly would not be involved in one again.

My first wife had one.....we made the decision mutually......and even though the marriage ended miserably, and I would father living apart from a daughter......well........she would be 13 or 14 years old now.

Enough said.

Its this argument that always makes me wonder why suicide is illegal.

Because you're getting into viability, and whether a fetus is a baby or not.

I am pro choice.

The viability of a fetus impacts whether or not suicide should be illegal?

Pro-Choice.....to an extent. No question in the case of rape or incest, however, I think too many women use abortion as a means of birth control. OK, so things happen and you are young or not ready or you have other reasons....your choice to make. But if a woman has a second abortion, I think she should be made sterile.

A person is already viable, and thus can't be terminated even by oneself.

A fetus has been ruled not to be a live being and thus can be terminated.

You're a smart guy mousey, you didn't need me to spell it out for you.

i had no idea that suicide was illegal.

I'm pro-choice because I do not believe that government entities have the right to legislate reproductive choices.

You're a smart duck, Perky, surely you could have read my post and teh accompanying quote.

I cited Amelia's comment about the arguemnt that 'it's a woman's body'. That was what i quoted and commented on as something that confused me when it comes to suicide being illegal.

It has nothing to do with a definition of what and what is not 'alive'.

really. that doesn't make sense to me. why would the legal system care if a person killed themselves? I know that assisted suicide is illegal.

not always so smaaaaaaht!

I misinterpreted your question. I thought you were questioning why, not the reasoning. I'm on the same page now.
