Depending on how privatization is implemented and regulated, it could fix the educational system -- it could aslo totally destroy any semblance of rationality and coherence in the national education dilemna.

Consider that there a good number of people who already pay to send their children to private schools to insure they don't learn anything except "creation science" or geography that doesn't include Isreal on maps of the middle east.

A restrictive and biased curiculim may be what those parents desire for their children but is it good for society to encourage the spread of that kind of bias in education?
