Here’s the “Science VS” podcast from Spotify titled “Squirting: What’s really happening.”

The bulk of female ejaculate comes from the bladder and is essentially watery urine that contains other proteins as well.

The podcast gets to the physiological source, the filling and flushing of the bladder, and mentions that some males can produce ‘squirt’ also. I found this interesting because I often used to squirt a little while having sex, though I wonder if it would normally be described as a rush of precum.
