So basically, all you people who PM, I don't really want to tell you my life story. I don't want to go through the same old small talk every time someone messages me. The most interesting messages to respond to are the ones that get straight to the point. At least the super creepy fucks don't waste your time before you need to realize you should block them.

The most interesting PMs to me always seem to do this:

1. Reference a post I made and ask for further info regarding it. This is a nice message because it shows that you've read my posts (and not just copy paste the same message) and are actually interested in a conversation that goes somewhere.

2. It bypasses small talk.

3. It does not go into interview mode where you literally just ask questions and not add any thoughtful talk into the conversation.

4. You do not go "did I scare you off?" If I don't reply in 5 minutes.

5. Don't constantly talk about how horny you are, etc. pretending to be a professor or a doctor while talking about that doesn't make it any more classy.

6. Talk like you're talking to someone in real life. Being on the Internet doesn't mean you get to be a creepy weirdo. It reminds me of this guy I used to work with on my first job. I was 17 and went on my break and some guy with fucked up teeth, no regard for hygiene and probably drank a lot and did lots of hard drugs started talking about how he's going to spend his entire paycheck on hookers. That's the kind of person you remind me of when you turn creepy.

But the first point is the most likely to get my attention.

I do answer some of those out of sheer boredom, only when I have no paint to watch dry.

i try to answer every pm i receive - it's the least i can do - doesn't mean I keep chatting with others if it "doesn't feel right" thou I TRY to be respectful & bow out gracefully.
