The online fans of Vice President Kamala Harris call themselves the "KHive" on Twitter and they are losing faith in her as her poll numbers continue to crater.

The Daily Beast spoke to several members of the KHive and found that many don't support Harris nearly as vehemently as they used to. The KHive is named after the far more popular BeyHive, an online fan club dedicated to celebrity singer Beyoncé.

Some said that she simply didn't meet up to their ideal as a social justice reformer.

“I would never, ever say that I regret supporting the first Black woman vice president, ever. But the disappointment is real,” said one self-described former KHive member. “I was obsessed with the idea of this person who could undo the systemic, the systematic racism and sexism and heterosexism in government with one fell swoop, and now I’m thinking to myself, did I just make up a person in my head who could do those things?”

Kamala Harris Is Trying to Define Her Vice Presidency. Even Her Allies Are Tired of Waiting.

“But the painful reality for Ms. Harris is that in private conversations over the last few months, dozens of Democrats in the White House, on Capitol Hill and around the nation — including some who helped put her on the party’s 2020 ticket — said she had not risen to the challenge of proving herself as a future leader of the party, much less the country. Even some Democrats whom her own advisers referred reporters to for supportive quotes confided privately that they had lost hope in her.”

“Now with Mr. Biden appearing all but certain to run again, the concern over Ms. Harris has shifted to whether she will be a political liability for the ticket. Given that Mr. Biden at 80 is already the oldest president in American history, Republicans would most likely make Ms. Harris, who is 58, a prime attack line, arguing that a vote for Mr. Biden may in fact be a vote to put her in the Oval Office.”

“Members of Congress, Democratic strategists and other major party figures all said she had not made herself into a formidable leader. Two Democrats recalled private conversations in which former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton lamented that Ms. Harris could not win because she does not have the political instincts to clear a primary field.”

Just goes to show you how little loyalty there is in politics. They always eat the weak.

I have disliked Kamala Harris ever since she criticized Joe Biden in a 2020 primary debate for opposing forced school busing in 1973. Busing never had majority support among the electorate. I wanted Biden to say, "Yes I opposed forced school busing in 1973, and I still do. So do most Americans."

Unfortunately, Biden wilted before Harris' attack, and choose her for his running made.

^No, what is unfortunate is that Babyboomer had to necromanse a pointless Rightguide thread that is as pointless today as it was six months ago when nobody replied to it the first time.

“rabid fans of Kamala Harris”.

I don't think she ever had rabid fans. She dropped out of the race over lack of support.
Her pick as Vice-President was virtue-signaling tokenism at its best.
She's the reason no one wants to 25th Ol' Uncle Joe...

His ultimate insurance policy.

I think, if we are to speak about liabilities for the ticket, the Joe is the main liability.

I do not think the deciding center will vote him back into office.
His support ceiling is now about 40%, which comprises
his die-hard base of party loyalty...,

hold your nose voters.

Despite her breaking my heart with her transphobic bullshit lately, I acknowledge that we all still owe Tulsi Gabbard a major debt for keeping Kamala from winning the nomination and almost certainly losing to Trump in 2020.

Speech approval rating 43%, right about at his support ceiling. He's whipped up his base, but the center has grown highly skeptical. His only hope now is Trump and that might be a bit of political straw-clutching.

A big reason most Democrats don’t want him to run in 2024 is that the economy has worsened for families because wages are not rising as fast as prices. They are also concerned about the 80 year old president’s fitness for the job. Kamala has done nothing to raise anyone’s confidence if Biden vacates the office.

Who has said anything of the sort? Provide quotes.

Nothing in that poll discusses wages as a reason or the economy. The only thing discussed there is his age.
The only reason I'd rather Biden not run again is his age. He's doing extremely well as president under the circumstances and Republican fake propaganda.

You are well aware that Americans are losing ground to inflation and that they are very concerned. You also know they feel worse off since Biden took office. Plenty of polls reflect that. For example the Gallup poll in January shows only 35% say they’re better off today than they were a year ago and 50% say they’re worse off. That’s down from 59% who said they were better off and 20% worse off in the same Gallup poll in 2020.

Yes, I get that you feel that Democrats dont want Biden to run because of wages. You have provided no evidence that any Democrat has said this.

No I am not aware that inflation is getting worse. Stats show it's getting better. What I am aware of is that the board Trumpettes are pushing a lying campaign against an administration that is doing quite fine on all fronts.

One of the great characterizations of the Harris Vice Presidency:
