The Colorado Rockies baseball team charters a United Airlines 737 to travel to all away games.
For a few hours last night there was a post on social media containing a video of the pilot of the 737 allowing a coach on the Rockies to sit in the Captain's seat and fly the plane (!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) (Video has since been deleted of course)
So much for "post-9/ll aircraft hardening"!! I cannot imagine in this day and age a stunt like this happening. Yes, the plane was on autopilot over the middle of nowhere, but I keep thinking back 25 years ago when that stupid Aeroflot Captain let his 5 year old sit in his lap in the cockpit and the 5 year old put the plane in a nosedive and crashed.
Methinks some pilot is going to lose his license.
