Strange that they'd retire the -10. It's a lot newer than the -135.
too costly besides they just bought the newer 767 as a tanker so why keep a 3-engine jet, when the 2 engines can do the same thing with a lot less fuel burn?

It's been in the works for over 10 years or so.

the holdup of the 767 getting into the service was held up by a lawsuit of the manufacturer of the losing tanker proposal.

Not the Caspian Sea Monster. This is a smaller LUN ekranoplan. The real Caspian Sea Monster (KM) was MUCH larger than this, but crashed and sank in 1980 due to pilot error. It had a huge V tail on it.
