Well, if you didn't know, I have a fascination with Wiccan chicks... (Do you hate to be called that?) And I was just wondering how many of you hold to such beliefs... I like hearing about it. I have read about the "Five fold kiss" ritual and boy... I think I like! ;)

I know only a few basic things really... Mostly from Neil Gaiman's "Witchcraft" and "Sandman"... Comics... (Okay, stop giving me the funny looks... Heheh...)

Any of you pretty pagan's wanna learn me a few things??? I would be... Greatful. ;)

Merry meet. My dear, sweet Jason... Though I am not a practicing witch at this time in my life, I have been studdying Wicca, Paganism, Druidism, and Shamanism for many years now. What would you like to know? :)

~Blessed be
Your Tiggs~

Well, seeing as I don't know where to really begin... Heheh! Whatever you or anyone else can share...

I am a practicing Wiccan witch, and will be glad to answer any questions that I can.

What do you wanna know? (Oh, and: yes, I am cute :D)

Ah, but here is where the problem begins... I have no SPECIFIC area that I know to question about... I just find myself wanting to learn a bit... How about some history? Is that a good place to start?

Some interesting reading...

Actually, the history of Wiccanism gets pretty complicated, since there are many variants, all of which claim to have ties to the "Old Religion", in much the same way Christian churches all claim to have the exclusive rights to the One True God.

Basically, modern Wicca is the great-grandchild of Middle Ages paganism and midwifery/medicinal practitioners. Both the catholic church and modern medicine have borrowed heavily from the "old wives' tales" (Which actually means Old Midwives---witches) of those days. As you can imagine, the story gets ugly, culminating in two major rounds of witch burnings--first during the Inquisition, then during the early colonial period (In Europe and the colonies).

The very ugliness of the tales makes people feel and look bad. This makes attempting to find the "truth" in the histories difficult. The version of the history that you get is pretty grounded in the personal agenda of the writer, whether pagan or non. If you decide to do some reading on the subject, I definitely advise staying away from the Encyclopedic treatment that you get in the compendiums of occultism, paganism, etc. They're survey courses written for Christians, and they give a pretty narrow view.

However, if you wanna take a look at some interesting stuff, I recommend Scott Cunningham and Raymond Buckland. They both did (Cunningham's dead) some pretty responsible scholarship, and were both practicing Wiccans. If you want an insider's view, I recommend _Living Wicca_ by Scott Cunningham. A decent (though flawed) outsider's view was done by the Chas Clifton edited series _The Modern Craft Movement_. A pretty interesting scholarly history of Witchcraft in colonial New England is _The Devil in the Shape of a Woman_ by Carol Karlsen.

If you are interested in the actual practices common to several branches of Wiccanism, Raymond Buckland and Gerina Dunwich have done some interesting, accessible, and well resourced books on rituals, esbats, sabbats, the high holy days, and practical advice for modern practitioners.

Also, in terms of history lessons, the BBC did an interesting documentary called "The Burning Times" about the Inquisition era witch trials. My Blockbuster carries it--there's probably a way to get it in your area.

I hope that helps!
Blessed be,
Risia Skye

Whew! That's a lot to load on you. But, it's a start. :)

Thank you RisiaSkye, that was quite helpful. It is greatly apreciated. ;)

dagnavit why wont someone tell me about this five fold kiss thing that what i want to know about

I'm a witch, not Wiccan. I do not follow a degreed tradition.

Well...

...since you asked bobtoad...

it usually involves two people. They usually will either be standing face to face, or sitting side by side turned towards each other, or maybe the gal is sitting on the guys lap facing each other, well there are numerous positions.

They get closer and closer until the distance between their faces is no longer there and one usually turns his head to one side and she usually turns her head to the opposite thus missing their noses (unless you're eskimoos' but that's a whole other subject)

Then their lips are in contact with each other and generally you move your head you may even apply your hands to their face or the back of the others head to deepen the pressure. Now if you feel them opening their mouth then this generally means they wish the kiss to get deeper so....enter the tongue and start exploring the others mouth and slipping it in and out while the other sucks and exchanges bodily fluid which in this case is saliva....

Now that is the run down of lip to lip kissing...

If you would like me to explain genitalia kissing I can go into detail there also! :D :p

Sorry I couldn't resist bob! ;)

would you care to practice with me until i get it right fotgetunome?

i was curious about the five fold kissing that was talked about in the orignial post, seemed rather intriguing

Hey Bobtoad! Here is what the Five Fold Kiss is:

FIVE FOLD KISS FEMALE
The High Priest kneels before the High Priestess and gives her the
Five Fold Kiss; that is, he kisses her on both feet, both knees, womb, both
breasts, and the lips, starting with the right of each pair. He says, as he
does this:
"Blessed be thy feet, that have brought thee in these ways.
Blessed be thy knees, that shall kneel at the sacred altar.
Blessed be thy womb, without which we would not be.
Blessed be thy breasts, formed in beauty.
Blessed be thy lips, that shall utter the Sacred Names."
For the kiss on the lips, they embrace, length-to-length, with their feet
touching each others. When he reaches the womb, she spreads her arms wide,
and the same after the kiss on the lips.
FIVE FOLD KISS MALE
The High Priestess kneels before the High Priest and gives him the
Five Fold Kiss; that is, she kisses him on both feet, both knees, phallus,
both breasts, and the lips, starting with the right of each pair. she says,
as she does this:
"Blessed be thy feet, that have brought thee in these ways.
Blessed be thy knees, that shall kneel at the sacred altar.
Blessed be thy phallus, without which we would not be.
Blessed be thy breasts, formed in strength.
Blessed be thy lips, that shall utter the Sacred Names."
For the kiss on the lips, they embrace, length-to-length, with their feet
touching each others. When she reaches the phallus, he spreads his arms
wide, and the same after the kiss on the lips.

hwers a high preistess to kiss my phallus when I need it, sorry that was bad joke, please forgive me if you are wiccan.

mhh - now look at that Ravenloft ...

all those cute wiccan chicks *lol* and all for you and you alone ... looks like nobody else shares your preferences - except for Mr. Toad that is ...

I guess us witches are to close to bitches and scare the hell out of the rational male ... no, wait a minute .. rational male was one of those oxymorons we discussed lately, right?? .. oh well, I think for most men it is just some other kind of esoteric hocus-pocus, almost equally dreaded as PMS and long talks about hormones and the latest Kindergarten news.

Therefore I usually keep my "beliefes" to myself .. I would have a hard time explaining anyway since there is no real tradition I follow.

... but Raven-baby, I'll come up with some "ritual" for you any time *wink wink*

Oh, is it true?! Has the great Talea returned?! Whats she got in store for Milaine this time around?! Heheh!

Okay here I am -ask away-although like many others here I follow no pre-set path...just a path of my own research and family traditions. And THANK YOU SOOOOOOOOO much for the guru greeting!-and actuallly my birthday is thursday-I will be 33!
