Im sorry, but Im right. Pregnancy can only happen after ovulation. Ovulation happens in the mid of period. Time of ovulation can watched by taking the morning temperature. If you dont believe in me look up some medical books.

You are very wrong, sorry to say.

You can get pregnant at any time during your cycle. Go back and read the books a bit and you too will find this (maybe you missed that section in the book!).

slow down.

after menstruation the first week is safe.
The next week is uncertain.
The third week is quite dangerous, its most fertile.
The last week is uncertain too.
Sperms lifespan in female bodies is about 48 hours. The time an egg needs to move from fallopian tube to uterus is about 7 days.
Eggs get fertilized in the fallopian tube, not in uterus.

Sperm can live for UP TO 72 hours!

Again, you can get pregnant at any time during your cycle. There are many babies born on the method you talk about. My Grandmother even got pregnant on it and she watched everything like crazy (this of course when my mother was younger).

Any doc that suggests this method may risk having to raise a child his patient didn't ask for! :)

Just a quick word on Depo - there are numerous cases linking Depo with high weight gain. My wife gained 60 lbs in 8 months on Depo.

As you can see from all of the various (and sometimes blatantly WRONG) answers on this board, there is alot to learn about sex and prevention of pregnancy. BOTH you and your girlfriend should talk to your doctor, or go to Planned Parenthood and discuss the best options for birth control sans the pill.
