Morning friends........Haven't been in here much, man but it warms my heart to see the die hards in here...*ggls* Thank you so much. Ya all can't know how happy it makes me to know I'm thought of. I hope you all know you're in my thoughts too! ALL of you!
Bit of an update....I have decided that I have had enuff of this crap and I AM going back to work. And soon!! My old Hospital is hiring as they are getting ready to approve a massive new Hospital in this one horse town and the little guys at O. Memorial are worried that it will pull alot of thier old timers away, and it most likely will!
It works to my advantage....see, I have worked for the company that is constructing the new hospital before (Aurora) and I will NEVER work for them again!! They do not have enough interest in patient care, only the almighty dollar. And I can not and WILL not work that way. What this will do for me, is open up alot of spots at O. Memorial and they will be frantic to make sure they are covered as far as help is concerned. The one thing I am concerned about is this...I am still on narcotics for pain..only 2x a day mind you, but on them just the same. I am a bit worried that they may not hire me due to this.
With all the addiction problems Hospitals face w/ thier own staff, this could be a hinderance, altho my Primary Care physicial assures me that she herself would hire me even tho I was on this medication. But to be honest, I hate this bitch and wouldn't trust a thing she says...lol! So anyhow, thats where it's at. My pain Doc says part time would be okay but he doesn't want me spending all that time running stats on the floor. I could get away w/ this and ask to be stationed in the Outpatient Lab...where no one likes to be all the time. I am NOT going to be picky at this point. Hopefully I will be able to get back to full time in the near future. I ask that you guys keep me in your prayers yet, as finding a job is not an easy feat when you're faced w/ the diversity that I am facing.
I'll be hitting the bricks sometime next week. Unfortunately, I have to face yet another death in the family. My sister in law (more like a sister) passed away Monday morning of cancer. It was a very welcomed death as she was struggling and miserable. Cancer, what an insidious disease!!! I am now working on getting to the funeral which is 4 hours away, and I am tied into previous commitments that I need to try to get out of to be able to do this..please, wish me luck!
Ya know......now that I'm nearing the end of my ordeal I sit back and read this thread, and tear up just reading the well wishes, the prayers, the attempts to make me smile..(Thank you Oman..lol)..and all the love thats poured out. Like I've said before, Thank you just ISN'T enough...I am at a loss for words to express what I feel and how I feel about all of you...just know what GOOD people you all are! And know what a huge difference you have made in my life..a very positive one at that!! And don't let ANYONE ever tell you that lifelong friends cannot be made online! We sure have proven that theory totally wrong!! You are all so special to me..and like I have said also..I am TRULY blessed!!!! Thank you, all of you. I love you guys so much!!
