Man I love coming into this thread!! It just warms my heart..*sniff*

Bad news first...it was NOT me who won that darned lottery!!! But oh how nice it would have been!! I'm just glad it went to a bunch of working people..I hate it when it ends up going to some rich snobs who don't know what a hard days work is all about.

Good news...Pain management Doc cut me back again on my meds..one more step and I am off of them completely! I am still on the arthritis med and the muscle relaxer...and I figure I'll be on those indefinately. It's ok tho, they don't wig me out at all. I am still wiaiting to go back to work until I clear my body of the narcotic. I know I can't be turned down for a job because of that, but I am taking NO chances! Like I've said, w/ the med I'm on, they are reluctant to hire people, especially in a hospital setting, while on that drug. And I'm so close right now, it would be foolish to change my mind on this. So thats the update. I am having a few problems w/ my back of late but I chalk that up to the less medication I'm taking. My body has to get use to the smaller dose and when it does my natural pain endorphins will kick in and take over. God seriously knew what he was doing when he made such a well oiled machine as is our bodies. So wish me luck on this guys.....I'm almost there!!! And again, as usual, THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH!!!! I will reiterate, I do not know where I'd be had it not been for such a fantastic support group!! You guys rock!!


Cats...Darlin lady, I hope I didn't worry you when I didn't show up! The dates were tentative as I have had so much interruptions w/ getting the kid off to college, then the money issues. So I will have a definate for you by wednesday when I talk to the woman. *hugs ya all up*

Thomas, all I can offer you is a couch in a small apt. but it's got your name on it, it has clean sheets and lots of home cooked meals to fill your tummy. And yes darlin, I would gladly barter w/ you! I had a massage the other night that helped greatly. It was professional but it was a short one (15 min)..but even in that short amount of time I felt sooo much better, after the initial pain subsided. he kept telling me where my bad spots were. He said he would really like to see me more often as he feels he could help. I have to wonder if thats true or just a come on to turn a buck...can ya give me some insight into this? Anyhow hon, you know you are welcome here anytime! Like I said, I can't give ya much, but I can help out w/ the basics. Stay in touch sweet man. *hugs*

I'm glad to hear your doc took you down another level on your pain meds, I just hope that he's doing it in very small doses. When my turn cums, if ever, I'm going to try to get him to bring me down 15mg, per month, until I'm done. Any faster than that, and I'm afraid of the pain issues. Enough of that for now, best wish's to you, and don't forget your friends when the pain gets bad..........Your a fortunate gal

I tell ya, I have found a newfound love for Rummaging again. She has brought all that out again...bless your heart, Darling!! Lol! Thanks people...you truly warm my heart, as I have said before. I sound like a broken record don't I?..lol. I just wonder how long I can keep up the THANK YOU's and make them sound as sincere as I feel them. Just been very busy here too between the new house and selling the old house.

I know I need to get back to the gym and begin working out cause I'm having trouble with the muscle spasms and my neck has been extreamly stiff.

Meds help but haven't ended the issue.

It takes time dear. Just never surrender.

Sorry it is taking longer for your body to adapt to the easing of the amount of pain meds you have been on. Of course love, you have been on them quite some time. Took time to get to the level you were at. I think it will just take a bit more time. I know you are frustrated with it all. I am sure you will get there.

Hang in there Jazey!! It should all get better with time, providing your pain is controlable with the amount of meds that your on. You may have reached that level, where your body needs a certain amount of pain meds to continue functioning properly.

I know, I'm speaking from experience. It's been awhile, but I did taper down one time, with full intentions of going off the pain meds. It didn't happen, the pain was just too much. I was barely able to walk to the road to pick up my mail and newspaper. I'm not sure I believe 100%, that our bodies will somehow be able to get our natural endorphans working again. If they supposedley worked so good in the beginning, why did we ever have to start on the pain meds in the first place?
