69,....... I know what your comment was when told I was going to thank you. I know, No Thanks needed when it comes to a friendship as special as ours...but like I told MR, you have no clue what it meant to me to have you both there. You kept me as calm as could be, and when the going got tough in that room, and my tears got going, you softened the blow with your encouraging words and soft touches. Thank you baby...so very much and I love ya hon, so very much.

Jazey

Yanno sweetie....no matter what, I just want you well enough again to hop up in a saddle. Walk without worrying if you're going to drop from your leg giving out.
Go down the steps ahead of me and not have to hang on to the back of your pants. Without the drugs. Pain free or as close as possible.

After what happened Thursday, I'll be with you if a CAT/Mylogram is ordered. Walk in the hospital with you and walk out. First the visit with the Ortho.
One step at a time. Just don't look past and at things we don't know yet. It does nobody any good, most of all you.

You know how I feel. :rose:
~S~

hello Jazey,
Hope all is going good for you today.
Just stopping by to leave a few prayers for ya.

69 & Kayte To have you guys with me on Thursday was SOOOO AWESOME!!! 69,....... I know what your comment was when told I was going to thank you. Kayte, your easy cum (lol), easy go atitude made it so much easier for me. Your special "down to earth" qualities that you possess calmed me in a way you'll never know!! Thank you darling friend, for always being there, in person or in "ear"..(or "eyes" for that matter...lol). We have become such good friends, more "soul" mates, if you will, in a most unconventional way..... and for that I will be eternally grateful for. Thank you!

Thanks again!! :p

Jazey

Thanks Kayte........so far, so good! The headache is slowing down...and I haven't thrown up yet today....(eeeeewww!!!..TMI!!)

The old backs yelling at me tho. I really think some of that test was done wrong...and thats why I feel so icky. I don't think it's normal to feel this icky after an EMG. My hands go into spasms ...sometimes so strong, I slosh my coffee! Does this sound normal to anyone?? Is this a side effect that I don't know about?

If anybody knows anything about this, please, I'd LOVE to hear from ya! This hand thing is really quite annoying!

Sorry, you're having a hard time recovering from the test and from the back still!
When it gets you down, just imagine all of us ,standing together singing, with me leading the singing!

When you're weary
Feeling small
When tears are in your eyes
I will dry them all

I'm on your side

When times get rough
And friends just can't be found
Like a bridge over troubled water
I will lay me down
Like a bridge over troubled water
I will lay me down

When you're down and out
When you're on the street
When evening falls so hard
I will comfort you

Good afternoon {{{{{{{{{{{{Jazey}}}}}}}}}}

I had an EMG done years ago, but I was hospitalized as the spinal tap and other tests were done too. Still, I don't recall it being so bad. I think you need to contact your clinic, your doctor and insist on talking to them. Unless they want you to visit the ER.

Keeping you in my prayers hun!!!

Lord knows I'm no doctor....or a brain surgeon. LOL! But, from what I've been able to look up and my history of dealing with the results of cracked Cervical vertebra, there are a couple possibilities for your symptoms.

After the accident, the swelling and trauma put pressure on the Radial nerves in my right arm, extending down to the hand. Numbness and loss of muscle contol caused me to drop things and I wouldn't even feel it coming. Spasms and pain.

You have had a break in that area as well. The surgery probably left you with some calcification and arthritis. Maybe the stress of all this along with the trauma of losing some spinal fluid has put pressure on the Radial nerves. One possibility.

The other is that the loss of fluid has temporarily affected the brains sending of electrical signals. The trauma and loss of fluid affecting the arms and hand come from the upper portion of the brain. The part that wouldn't have normal cushioning with a loss of fluid. There was no dye used like a Mylogram. A reasonable, plausible answer is just that portion of your brain "mis-firing" from the trauma.

Like I said....no doctor for sure, but it makes sense. We'll just have to see if it disappears as your body replentishes the spinal fluid to normal again.

Until then, I'll just have to get you a "sippy" cup. ~soft smile~ ;) Kidding Hon....

Thanks honey....I think I may have to, if it doesn't stop or at least slow down in a day or two. It's not painful by any means....just annoying as hell!!....lol. And I guess I'm a little concerned as to what might cause this reaction. It's crazy... :p

Thanks Shreik.....I'm trying babe! Harder than you know! I find myself getting more frustrated and stressed out as each day passes. To be back on my feet again would be pure heaven!! Thanks for the boost...*smooch*

69...thanks hon. Alot of what you wrote makes sense. I hope the appt on the 28th will reveal some finality for me. Keep your fingers crossed, will ya?...*grins all cutesy-like*

It doesn't sound normal at all, I think you should call your dr.

Thanks Noor...*hugs* And I owe you an apology!! I got your pm quite awhile ago, and never answered it. Sometimes, if I read them later at night when my meds have kicked in, I forget them! I am soooo sorry hon! I wanted to tell you how I appreciate the offer, and Thank you for writing.

I seem to be getting alot of feedback about the trembling hands issue not being normal. Ya know, I have Dr's appt ALL the time. I am so sick of Doctors I could spit! So it better be something extremely painful, or very scarey to get me to go see another one, other than my normal amount. Do you think it would be okay to wait for awhile? I am not quite sure WHAT to do...all I know is I don't really want to go to another one unless it's an emergency. Thanks again sweetie!! :nana:

I am new member of Lit, and have been saddened to read about your problems. I'll add my prayers for you. It does seem you have a strong support group here.

I'm not a doctor and don't make any claims to any knowledge about your situation. I'd urge you to discuss this with a doctor as well. However, given your concerns, I'll share that we had some helpful discussions regarding a family member in the community forums at http://brain.hastypastry.net/forums/index.php?

It might be a resource that could be of help to you.

I will go check out that link. Hell, I'll check out ANYTHING if it's going to work!!.....*ggls*
Yes, I most certainly DO have a great support system here...I TRULY have been blessed with such good friends, some I know face to face, some I haven't ever met...but none the less, am truly blessed!! They are WONDERFUL people and I doubtr they will ever be able to comprehend just what all thier support has meant to me. Thank you for saying so. Take care...and thanks for stopping by!! I appreciate it!

Oh, ohhhh.....I know that "cutsey grin". Like Buzz would say, "what do you want?" LMFAO!!! :p

Good afternoon {{{{{{{{{{ Jazey }}}}}}}}}} :rose:

Hope today is better for you than yesterday and tomorrow better than today.
Somehow, going to school and coming home yesterday was different, and special. ;) Without one or more additional tests, I doubt the appt. with the Ortho will result in a diffinitive treatment plan. I just pray it's a new MRI and not the Mylogram.

No matter which it is, I'm there for you. We all are.

Good morning {{{{{{{{{{{{{{Jazey}}}}}}}}}}}}

OK darling, what has the doctor said about all of the pain, the tingling etc in your hands/arms?

Keeping you always in my thoughts and prayers hun. You do have my number if you need to reach me!!

Its okay, I understand, between the pain and the drugs, it happenes to me too sometimes.
I would call the place that did the EMG on the phone and say look this is happening since I got the test, trembling hands is usually nerve related, whatever it is you don't want them trembling permamanently. I would write them as well.
