diabetes is a tough disease esp. when it progresses......

I just found out this morning reading the paper that one
of good friend's from high school....her older brother
passed away on Friday.....he was only 32 y.o......had a
history of drug problems but the last time I saw him he
was clean/sober. Really very sad.

Then I logged onto get my email this morning and got
an email from my friend letting me know the news.......and
she's coming back up to CT tomorrow for the wake and
funeral. It's been a very long time since I've spoken to
her/seen her.....

Though it is Easter morning, I say a prayer for my friend
and her family in this difficult time.

Please keep my friend's brother in your prayers and thoughts
tonight and tomorrow (4/23).......I went to the wake tonight
and it was pretty emotional......got to see my friend Cara
first time in over a year........its been very difficult for her
and her family going through all this........very very sad.......

Tj ..I will keep your friend's bro in my prayers sweety and also please pray for my friend Michelle from yahoo chat,she left last wednesday from Sac calif heading home to kansas and we truly suspect she may have been murdered as she got all mixed up with a bad group of ppl in Calif,I pray God has kept her safe tho ,they even have missing persons report on her ,she is only23 my daughter's age.. ..thanks..

My Sister..........

The family found out a week ago that my 46 year old sister has terminal lung cancer. She doesn't even have much time. Anywhere from 1 month to a few months. When I look back, she has been in pain for over a year..........how sad it wasn't discovered much sooner. We have lost our parents in the past few years and now this. God, please give me the strength to be there for her the way she needs me to be and to hold up through this. Embrace my only sister and hold her and make her transition easy for her........amen.

I don't have very specific prayers but Would like to add a couple here. First of all for Jacqline and anyone else who needs them now I am praying for you.

Also a week or two ago, just after school was out two teenage girls were in a very bad car wreck and one girl died and the other I believe is still in the hospital. Both these girls from what I heard were very good, Christian girls, they did not go to our church, but the girl who died her boyfriend did. They went to another church nearby. And it has really devastated alot of our teens. They were to be seniors in the fall.

Also yesterday a 9 yrs old girl drown here. She was playing in a creek at one of the local parks. Kids are always playing in there,but apparently she got in to where it was too deep and could not get out. I didn't know the girl, just heard it on the news. Please pray for the families of all these ppl. I know that they will need all the strength that they can get.

And then closer to home. My son is at camp this week and I have to go get him Friday. He will be going away to another camp on June 22. Please pray that everyone traveling to/from the camps, not just his group, but all groups will be have a safe journey and that the kids and the ppl going to chaperone, etc will have alot of fun, safe time and that God will watch over them all and that they will feel his presence and security.

Wow.....its been a very long time since this thread has
been active.......

I hope that everyone is enjoying their summer and
staying cool!

My prayer........a good one.....is to my good friend Jill,
who is getting married this Saturday (8/9) to a real
terrific guy. I hope that her and Steve have much
happiness and good fortune.........and I am blessed
to have her (and him) as friends. I've known her since
high school, and she's been thru a lot of shit in her
life (her twin brother's death right before freshman yr.
of high school, craziness w/ going to college overseas,
etc.), and I have never seen her this happy......and she
deserves this happiness from this time forward.

Update

Hello guys & girls. It's been a LONG time since i posted & just wanted to let everyone know that my husband's ship came back & everyone in the battlegroup was safe. Keep up the prayers for the ones left on the ground in Iraq, I know they're helping!
*personal note* My husband & I are getting transfered to Great Lakes, IL in November, so hopefully everything goes good & safe.

On a last note tho, our best friend just found out that his mom's been diagnosed w/ breast cancer. I ask that she's encluded in your prayers as you all are in mine.

Its been a very long time since

this thread has been up here, but here goes:

May next year be one of love, peace, happiness, and
success for everyone..........May next year this whole
war in Iraq please end...........May next year Bush be
booted out of the White House.....PLEASE!

On a more serious note to continue.......may those who
have been out of work, land a new job. May those
who have been homeless, finally land assistance to get
back on their feet.

May those who have families be thankful for their loved
ones, and that the love be passed around many-fold.
