Today is Earth Day

Consider this:

 PRAYER FOR THE EARTH

Dear God,
Please bless and protect this sacred jewel,
Our vulnerable planet so besieged.
May the rivers and the oceans and the sky and the land
All be repaired somehow, dear Lord.
May the barbarism end, which threatens to destroy our priceless treasure.
For surely the earth has been our home,
The home of our parents unto all generations.
For the sake of our children, Lord,
Save this earth.
Place in all minds a greater awe before her mysteries.
Shield her and heal her wounds,
Restore her to her former glory.
Save her, Lord, from us.
Amen.

Anything that you can do to help this earth and its inhabitants, do it!
Don't let your ego stop you, but let your heart guide you,

New signature...

Look, I have a new signature, I wrote that poem in '99. . . wow, so much has happened since then.

I just found myself singing "Spiritual healing. . . gets that higher feeling . . oh yeah", awesome song by Toots and the Maytals, reggae band of the 70s. I bet no one else has heard it, have you?

  Today's Idea:
" There comes a time, not too long into the journey to God, when the realization that the world could work beautifully if we would give it the chance, begins to excite us. It becomes our new motivation. The news isn’t how bad things are. The news is how good they could be. And our own activity could be part of the unfolding of Heaven on earth. There is no more powerful motivation than to feel we’re being used in the creation of a world where love has healed all wounds. "

Maybe I'm just posting this for myself, and tigerjen, but it is worth it!
LET'S CELEBRATE BEING ALIVE!
Today was a gorgeous sunny day in England, I thoroughly enjoyed every moment of being outside.
However, I also heard from my Thai friend that her mother died last night in a car accident. We chatted on msn for an hour this morning. But there is little consolation to give someone at a time like that. Only later perhaps can friends really help and support someone, I think.
But then I went to my physio and was told I can walk without crutches!! I have been on them for months, first due to pain, and then an operation in February. So it has been quite a day, I feel so thankful, so blessed to be alive and to be able to walk "normally", you don't realise how much we take that for granted unless you are unable to. So walk with joy, think about how great it feels to move lightly, with little effort, your back straight (my posture needs working on now, due to unhelpful habits in walking), feeling each foot place on the ground, and lift, so smoothly. Isn't it incredible?!

I hope you appreciate my thoughts,
take care

Congratulations for the good news about your health. I am happy for you that your problems are being solved and that you can walk without crutches!

BTW, this morning I left London with several hours delay because of fog! Where did you see the gorgeous sunny day????

:rose: :rose:

haha!

The sun came out in the late morning and all the time until sunset! It was very beautiful! I even wore just a vest top, and the woman next door wore a bikini whilst she did the gardening! :)

Don't Worry, Be Happy EVERYONE!

Hey Eric, thanks for your contribution, and have you ever heard of Eric The Half A Bee, a song by the Monty Python crew?

How is everyone?
I feel great today, I've been playing dominoes with my husband! What a superb game that is, we played loads in the Carribean, and beat some of the hardened domino players and rum drinkers!

My thought for today:
It's great to meditate with a partner, a friend or lover, because ...

"From every human being there arises a light that reaches straight to heaven. And when two souls destined to be together find each other, their streams of light flow together and a single, brighter light goes forth from their united being."

Baal Shem Tov, Renaissance Jewish mystic

Something to think about...

Today's Inspiration for Wednesday May 1, 2002
  Today's Idea:
" Another way that we actually resist remaining awake with people in the hour of their suffering is by taking sides. By definition, if we move into—for instance in this issue between the Israelis and the Palestinians—there is an argument to be made for the Israelis and there is an argument to be made for the Palestinians. To God, no one’s suffering is special. No one’s suffering matters to God more than anybody else’s suffering because no one matters to God more than anyone else. >From a spiritual perspective the way we best remain awake and thus remain in service to our fellow human beings is by seeing beyond the veil. "

prayer for today

Dear God,
May I have meaningful work and meaningful
 activity in my life.
I desire to wake up each morning and feel that I
am used on behalf of something glorious.
I want to feel, no matter what my work, that I
dispense blessing, love, forgiveness, and kindness
 there to all I meet.
Help me to remember that You are the power.
May I not overglorify merchandizing or money
 or business.
May my work be Yours.
May my work be love.
Help me to remember that as I focus on the
realm of heaven, everything else will take care
 of itself.
Help me have faith, to know the universe shall
take care of me as I take care of it.
In this moment, I am willing to put aside all
 small and worthless values.
In this moment, I am willing to let go my attachment
 to money, popularity, power, prestige,
the things of the world that I do not need.
For I know that they are all illusion, and except
as they are sent by You, they lead me
 nowhere.
Thus shall I shine.
And as I shine and sparkle, I shall radiate a
power in this world, not of this world, and
people will not fail to notice.
For I shall be as a star in a darkened sky.
I shall go to sleep knowing that I did as I have
 come here to do.
I shall be repaid by gratitude, shining in the eyes
 of my brothers.
Please shine in my heart.
Amen.

Here are some affirmations I say every day, from The Power of The Subconscious Mind by Joseph Murphy, a great book, useful for EVERYONE!

Divine order takes charge of my life today and every day.
oooh got to go, aww will write more later

warmlips

I will send that to my mother, great idea.

Back to those affirmations ...

“Divine order takes charge of my life today and every day. All things work together for good for me today. This is a new and wonderful day for me today. There will never be another day like this one. I am divinely guided all day long, and whatever I do will prosper. Divine love surrounds me, enfolds me, and enwraps me, and I go forth in peace.

Whenever my attention wanders away from that which is good and constructive, I will immediately bring it back to the contemplation of that which is lovely and good. I am a spiritual and mental magnet attracting to myself all things that bless and prosper me. I am going to be a wonderful success in all my undertakings today. I am definitely going to be happy all day long.”

This is so effective! I feel great every single morning, thanks to saying these words! Try it out!
