Pray with warmlips

I send my love and prayers to mbb and Tulip for their lost. Losing someone is final.......the body is gone but the memories are always with us.......My parents are gone a long time.....but I feel they are with me........In my heart and mind I could hear and see them and feel their love for me.

Tulip......now it is to new and the hurt is very bad.......but the pain will go away in time........but she is always with you watching over you and your family.

mbb to lose a friend and not know about till later......now that is hard too..........but the memories are still with you.

Hugs and Kisses to both of you.........may the pain get easlier on the both of you.

SAFELY HOME

I am Home in heaven, dear ones;
Oh, so happy and so bright!
There is perfect joy and beauty
In this everlasting light.

All the pain and grief is over,
Every restless tossing passed;
I am now at peace forever,
Safely home in heaven at last.

And he came Himself to meet me
In that way so hard to tread;
And with Jesus’ arm to lean on
Could I have one doubt or dread?

Then you must not grieve so sorely,
For I love you dearly still;
Try to look beyond earth’s shadows,
Pray to trust our Father’s will.

There is work still waiting for you,
So you must not idly stand;
Do it while life remaineth
You shall rest in Jesus’ land.

When that work is all completed,
He will gently call you home;
Oh, the rapture of that meeting,
Oh, the joy to see you come!

Thank you

Warmlips, thank you so much for starting this thread- I came across it for the first time today.

In this time of uncertainty, I think it is important that we all think back to your first post. I am concerned that the President of my country is going to involve the world in a new war, and the costs seem extreme.

Today we join in prayer for peace:

Peace in the Middle East;

Peace in Afghanistan, Pakistan and India;

Peace In Ireland;

Peace in Africa;

Peace in our hearts and in our lives.

Today we pray for peace in the whole world.

Cast out all fear and violence.

Help us to see that there is another way.

Establish Your love in our hearts, minds and governments.

Today we join in prayer with millions of people all over this precious planet and together we establish a field of peace and protection.

Love reigns supreme in our hearts and in the world.

I pray that leaders throught our world see the folly of violence to prevent violence. I pray that we can all find the peace in our hearts to stop and think about what we are about to do to Iraq, and the consequences of those actions. I hope that George W. Bush will find some wisdom late in life, and back off a bit from his current position.

"I wish for you..."

"I wish for you..."
Comfort on difficult days,
Smiles when sadness intrudes,
Rainbows to follow the clouds,
Laughter to kiss your lips,
Sunsets to warm your heart,
Gentle hugs when spirits sag,
Friendships to brighten your being,
Beauty for your eyes to see,
Confidence for when you doubt,
Faith so that you can believe,
Courage to know yourself,
Patience to accept the truth,
And love to complete your life.

God Bless you!
I asked the Lord to bless you
As I prayed for you today
To guide you and protect you
As you go along your way....

His love is always with you
His promises are true,
You know in all our struggles
He will see us through

So when the road you're traveling on
Seems difficult at best
Take a moment, say a prayer
And God will do the rest.
:heart:

Thanks, BEM, I have always liked that one.............:kiss:

Thank you angel, carp, Bug, and Jacqline for your prayers, poems and thoughtfulness.
I am glad you appreciate this thread, carp. Believe me, it is a pleasure. Enjoy your time on Lit. :rose:
When I saw the look on the face of Tony Blair as he talked about supporting America against Iraq today, I let the face of the Dalai Lama arise in my mind, compassion and non violence is the only way to achieve peace and unity in the world. The Dalai Lama watched thousands of his people lose their lives thanks to the violence of others, still he laughs and jokes. He lives with hope, not fear. I think that is a good way to live.

A Prayer to the Holy Guardian Angels (Feast, October 2)

Dear Angel at my side, my good and loyal friend, you have been with me since the moment I was born. You are my own personal guardian, given me by God as my guide and protector, and you will stay with me till I die. He who created you and me gave me to you as your particular charge. You assisted in great joy at my baptism, when I became part of the Mystical Body of Christ, and was made a member of the household of God and an heir of heaven. You saw the dangers that beset my path, and, if I sinned, it was in spite of you. You envied me when Christ came to me in Holy Communion. Even though you probably were there among the angels that adored Him the night that He was born, you have not been able to receive Him as I can. O, help me to appreciate these gifts! Help me to realize, as you do, with every fiber of my being, that to serve Christ is to be a King! Help me steadfastly to avoid evil and do good and always guard my soul from sin. Protect me as well from physical evils as I go about my daily work. You will be with me all my life.

Amen.

I say this pray for all who are sick.........One of my friends, Lady_Kit's daughter is in the hospital with a ruptured appendix......I pray for her recovering soon.....and to have the Angels to watch over her.

Angel,

I will add your friend's daughter to my prayers. I also have a friend here on Lit in the hospital that doesn't want it known so if we could just pray for a great outcome, that would be appreciated.

Love you sis!!

An extract from a speech by Dennis Kucinich

PLEASE READ IT:

"Active citizenship begins with an envisioning of the desired outcome and a conscious application of spiritual principles. I know. I have worked with the people in my own community. I have seen the dynamic of faith in self, faith in one's ability to change things, faith in one's ability to prevail against the odds through an appeal to the spirit of the world for help, through an appeal to the spirit of community for participation, through an appeal to the spirit of cooperation, which multiplies energy. I have seen citizens challenge conditions without condemning anyone, while invoking principles of non-opposition and inclusion of those who disagree.

I have seen groups of people overcome incredible odds as they become aware they are participating in a cause beyond self and sense the movement of the inexorable which comes from unity. When you feel this principle at work, when you see spiritual principles form the basis of active citizenship, you are reminded once again of the merging of stardust and spirit. There is creativity. There is magic. There is alchemy."

Here is the link for the whole speech, can you believe this man is a US congressman? :) If only all politicians could have peace loving views such as these... Perhaps one day they will.

PEACE ONE DAY 21st SEPTEMBER 2002

21st September

'A call to Action'

'There is one thing stronger than all the armies in the world; and that is an idea whose time has come.' Victor Hugo (1802-1885)
Peace One Day began as the vision of one man, young British filmmaker Jeremy Gilley. Launched in 1999, with the support of countless individuals and organisations, Peace One Day has successfully driven the initiative to establish the United Nations International Day of Peace as a day of global ceasefire and non-violence, now fixed in the calendar as 21st September from 2002.
Peace One Day is asking the people of the world to honour and celebrate the Day on the 21st September; with the vision of the Day extending far beyond the cessation of violent conflict and representing an opportunity for the people of the world to create a moment of global unity.

PEACE, LOVE, & HAPPINESS to all around the world.......
may we all pray and wish for no violence, no war, no
hate among peoples.......

On a personal note.........prayers go out to the people
of Israel........I am sad and angry that violence broke
out when Passover started back a couple weeks ago.....
however, the Jewish people will prevail and rise, and
work towards establishing peace in Israel.

Well said!! Please God, peace in Israel!!

8 hours until we fully remember one year ago

a song.......in honor of those who died and those who
helped in rescue efforts.....and those who offered their
help in any way possible.......and to all Americans here
and abroad, who rediscovered a patriotism that has
not been seen since WW II.......:heart: :rose:

"You've Got A Friend" lyrics/music by Carole King c. 1971

When you're down and troubled
And you need some loving care
And nothing, nothing is going right
Close your eyes and think of me
And soon I will be there
To brighten up even your darkest night

You just call out my name
And you know wherever I am
I'll come running to see you again
Winter, spring, summer or fall
All you have to do is call
And I'll be there
You've got a friend

If the sky above you
Grows dark and full of clouds
And that old north wind begins to blow
Keep your head together
And call my name out loud
Soon you'll hear me knocking at your door

You just call out my name
And you know wherever I am
I'll come running to see you
Winter, spring, summer or fall
All you have to do is call
And I'll be there

Ain't it good to know that you've got a friend
When people can be so cold
They'll hurt you, and desert you
And take your soul if you let them
Oh, but don't you let them

You just call out my name
And you know wherever I am
I'll come running to see you again
Winter, spring, summer or fall
All you have to do is call
And I'll be there
You've got a friend

Been up since 8am EST w/ tears in my eyes

Love to all on this 9/11....:heart: :heart: :heart:
