Hey everybody,

I got a lotta pics but i don't know the best way to make um less then 100k? even with photoshopping and cropping its still over 1.0 megs!! any suggestions?

resize the image so its only 600 pixels width or less
save it as a jpeg
and if need be, -lower the quality sampling on the jpeg

I use paintshop pro to crop and resize. My website pics average 60-70 kb

I have a respect for Australian women like no other nationality.

American women...cave too easy, drama up too often and hide their sex way too much.

Australian women aren't afraid to speak their minds in a very civil fashion. They're fun, funny, open, loving and honest. Kind hearted and thoughtful.

They aren't nearly as materialistic and tend to enjoy the things that really matter like love, communication and enjoyment of life.

Hats off to you.:rose:

This is the best advice. Irfanview allows you to do batch resizing and renaming, so you can select all of the pics you want to post and resize them at the same time. :)

Another free program that allows batch edits is GIMP. It's like a free version of Photoshop, and has similar powerful, easy-to-use functions and a user interface.

I'll add to the recommendation of Irfanview.

Irfanview is an image management program as opposed to an image editing program. It's designed for exactly the kind of problem you have.

Batch resizing is a little hard to figure out, because you have to do "something else" to a batch of images before you get the aditional option of saving at a particular size. Converting a directory of JPeG files to another directory JPeG files works and you can then specify a pixel limit in one dimension to save the output files to.

Converting JPeGs to JPeGs is a good way to change the compression ratio/Quality setting/file-size in batch mode even if you've already resized to meet the 800x600 pixel limits for attachments.
